Definitely not a canary, looks like a flycatcher type but I don't know if they sing. Is he a species native to the Canary Islands? Fascinating! Please tell us what species this is. Also let's not criticize the keeper, the bird appears healthy and happy enough to sing (a sad or sick bird stops singing!) and for all we know he might get plenty of free-flight time when his owner can be there to watch and keep him safe!
her singing its so beautiful...=\ they should open the cage every once in a while tho...=S poor bird...this made me so sad..por thing has nothing else to do but sing in its little cage.
I know this isn't your bird, so my comments aren't directed at you (this is not criticism of you). I just want to say that it is so sad to see that bird in that tiny cage with nothing to do. I'm surprised people don't see anything wrong with keeping birds like this. It's heartbreaking! The beauty of his song is in stark contrast to that awful cage.

Well, I'd like to make clear the bird isn't mine, and I agree with you about the cage and all... But anyway, it was a nice thing to see.

Please give the poor bird a bigger cage and at least a mirror to play with!

I want to say one thing: Mirrors are not toys for birds!
NeverEver give your bird a mirror!
Thx...

Depends on the bird, dude. Mirrors aren't evil. My cockatiel had one and was still the most affectionate bird I've ever had.
