hahha this is sooo crazy i have a house there i been going since i was born 1992 this is awesome video compaired to ho it is today sooo much has changed !!!
Only 12 years ago and so many traffic lights and big developments now. It was fun to see this especially at the beginning with the Yield House still there. Barnaby's was another welcome sight. I'd love to see the same ride filmed during the 70's.
nice vids. I worked on green granite inn on 2007 but I didnt see how was there on 99'... I remembered some names ; wendy, george wuu, amy, turkish workers, john(bustard),mike, aaron, and many people...! I love you NH.I love you all people !
wow.. WHAT A CHANGE! i remember the good old days hahaha
my husband is military and since we have lived in Tx for the past few years everything up there has changed so much.. every single time we come home to visit family there is something different.. like that ROUND'ABOUT..
how about a light at the walmart intersection??
and they laughed at me for aying "wicked" down here...
Thank you very much for this memory. I miss home so much it's unbearable...Things like this kinda help though. I was born in the Memorial hospital on the right that you pass...Raised in Fryeburg, Maine. great video, and the music and the video makes my eyes water..Oh...I never realized Shaws used to be next to Ames....Jeeze. Guess I was pretty damn young then. 19 now. Thanks again.
i visisted a freind back in 02,i took a greyhound from fort myers florida,to a gas station not to far from 16.I remember the Motel at 2:00,The Yankee Klipper.Where I spent a week, till My "freind"left me handcuffed to the bed for a day.
The Yankee Clipper has changed a lot... Now it's a money-grubbing shit-hole. :( I'm really sad about it, because it used to be a such great memory for me and my love. I miss the legit N.Conway with the pristine baths... :(
Thanks for bringing back many fond memories! I spent quite a bit of time in the Mt. Washington Valley from when I was little in the early '60s until just before I moved to Florida in the mid '90s. It's sad that there have been too many changes that have forever changed the 'old' valley, but the locals there are still true blue Americans. The small town in FL that I now live in reminds me quite a bit of how it used to be in N. Conway, just without the snow (lol).
i have a son with autisim, went to a school in effingham falls, when i went to visit my son from new york i instantly fell in love with the state, the people, and the beautiful area i enjoyed driving along route 16 now im moving there permantly and to be a resident of new hampshire. "live free or die" love those license plates lol
im from new york state, lived in center ossipee for 2 yrs i loved it there!!! going to move back in about a year. i feel new york will be a socialist state soon atleast new hampshire people are true americans, i felt right at home there and yeah it saddens me to think of a beautiful state being destroyed by companys who dont give a dam where they locate i enjoyed driving along route 16,
this video makes me sad, im 16 and have gone here for years...now it kinda sucks goin here with all of this new bullshit... oh ya and fandangles burnt down!!
I miss how it used to be to. Alot of the new things goin up is stupid. A starbucks? come one now, this aint no yuppie town. Its a Country hick town with alot of love.
lived there 45 years went to kennett high left for army 1n 66, left for good in 99, i remember when all there was there was daves fried clams, driving movie theater, now its all gone to hell its a police town all they do is harras people..
man i sure do miss the way it used to look.....now it looks like some trashy southern town...i should know i'm in KY now. think the traffic wasn't so bad on that road it's all part of it.

I have lived here my whole life. There is place else I would want to be.It's quiet and the views are awesome.
I few comments for a few posters
we get plenty of people from the UK and they all seem to love it here.
its not a police town and they don't harass people. I know probably 90% of them and they are all wonderful people
yes the strip has been taken over by stores but there is so much more to do here..
take a hike to one of the water falls they are gorgeous
& want to say hi to MrBones911

I hate man-made, when it comes to buildings, just, no, that will never replace the view I get every morning.

Haha, I loved the Yankee Clipper Inn. We stayed there last summer, on top of the restaurant. It was great.
