The Iranian people are currently much more pro-active regarding issues of democracy and governance than the American people and other democratic peoples. (I'm American, FWIW)

Sure, because we take everything for granted. Most Iranians I know are the best example for good integration. They really appreciate the democracies they live in and contribute to the societies they live in, because they know how their life could be when they were in their dear country. Which is pretty sad, if I think about it. I admire you guys, everyone should be like you and fight in the face of adversity. Heroines/Heroes!
