I know of no other person who was so "underground" and got the exposure Dee Dee got. Ramones are probably the best band ever, but it is hilarious that they believed they would become popular with a guy like Dee Dee who was a mess without even faking it.

You look back at what he looked like in the 70s, he looked so clean and innocent, then 20 years later, he's got tattoos all over him as reminders of history as a Ramone. RIP Dee Dee
