I suppose this game is like cigarettes: You know you're going to get addicted and shorten your lifespan, so don't pick it up in the first place despite the peer pressure.

This sorta looks fun. Had I discovered it at 20yrs old, I'd have played. But what busy, productive adult has that much time to invest in a fantasy role that, as another commenter here noted, "you just don't get back [the time] afterwards"?

I think even Runescape is better then WoW, wanna know why? Because Blizzard isn't patching the graphics of the game, it was a beatifull game, back then, when the game came out till some years later. They aren't expanding the graphics, which is in my opinion bad. So bad, that I even don't want to go get in the game anymore. I have played it for a long period. Almost had my second level 85, but I don't enjoy its graphics. That's one of the most important reasons why I stopped playing the game.

@Barrosy Runescape better? No just no, don't even say that.. Wows graphics aren't being expanded because technically they don't need to be expanded, it's good enough atleast for a couple of years where blizz will then likely stop making expansions and just make a World of Warcraft 2.. Runescape on the other hand, needs its graphics to be expanded ( Alot ), so it can keep up with all the other games.. and a game isn't just judged by how well its graphics are.

@shookz78 You realize this footage isn't even the 2004 WoW, it's the beta/alpha version which was during 2001-2003. or maybe early release 2004. For 2004, when this came out..this was god like, it was better than everquest and Guild wars 1 wasn't released, it beat GW1 and Star Wars galaxies was just forgotten, It was amazing and new to many people. It develeoped a new game that thousands, millions know. Sure when we look at it today we say "LOL THAT SUCKED"..so do I, but it meant alot to me.

game cant look quite as good like one of those single player rpgs, cuz its a multiplayer game. plus its open world so you cant make it look too amazing, or else youd have to have a +$3000 pc to run it. if you have the settings on medium or higher the game actually looks pretty good tho.

also if you like the game..great, and if you dont..thats okay. but, you dont need to go trolling on it constantly cuz u dislike the new expansion or the one b4. i myself loved wrath and im gonna get cata soon.

No, Society doesn't give a shit about WoW addiction because they don't realise people like the person I was exist. It's not a question of right and wrong, not really. Yes, I agree, do what makes you happy. But WoW never made me happy. It made me happy for brief moments between grind. But when I quit WoW, I lost weight (alot of weight), I started socialising, I even have a girlfriend. I feel so much better now compared to then.

I think hardly anyone plays this anymore, since the reason why its simplyfied is the lack of manpower cost to have support and I guess adults would make a note ,since the quest are questionble or kids so they did this game very simpe after the first expansion, reason are also it very easy to hack since your abandoned account can be emtyied and Blizzard would then agrue- you hadn't that -we have no record- so you now get everything free basiclly- big deal now... I think Original pack beating Expansion packs is now a tradition to Blizzard..

just think about it, Diablo 1 and Diablo 1 Hellfire, Diablo 2 and Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction, Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos and Warcraft 3 The frozen throne.

@toxicitzi I actually think that diablo 2 LoD was a great expansion.. Added tons of gametime and value to the game. ^^

Blizz knows how to make good expansions.. But WoW turned into a snowball running down a mountain with the WOTLK expansion.... Cata is a perfect example how they fail sadly.. They tried to give the old feeling of WoW back with tons of extras.. But for that they ruined the story and overall gameplay of old WoW... PvP is totally horrible in Cata as well.. I think i'm gonna puke.
