  • @tdndavid, I could kick your ass. ;D

  • haha unless this guy was puking then he wasnt puttin out hard enough

  • im soft 18, i can do 100 push ups 20 bicep chin ups 100 sit ups 2 minutes, and 17 lat chinups, and run 5km no problem

  • lol, i did better than him when i was 16, 38 push up(chest touched the ground each time and i accidentally put my leg down so i had to stop -_-), 85 sit ups, 9 minute run, 5:32 for a 500 (swimming moderately)

  • entering seal training is the easiest part, surviving BUD/S, how bout you niggas try that for a change. I myself, havent, but i will enlist in SEAL training after i graduate

  • Good job... were you one of the 40%?

  • Seal team six never existed

  • @jabara83 I can do a 500 freestyle in 6 minutes. And 500 breast in 8:45.

  • @impleasen, I can do 32 then drop and do 40 pushups.

  • Because BUDs is mostly mental not physical

  • Ok, this I don't understand. Why is it that the physical requirements for BUDS is so low (1.5 miles in 11mins. 42 pushups and x number of situps in a certain time) when in BUDS you might have to do 1000 push ups in one day, run for ever or as long as the SEAL instructors feel like, make you do log situps for long periods of time. If the physical body is not what is going to get you through BUDS, then why is there a seemingly low physical requirement? what is the mental requirement?

  • Is SEALs training open only to spec ops like rangers/delta?

  • @moronslave Rangers is open to anyone who is qualified... same with SEALs... but delta falls into a class of Tier 1 wich is a handpicked group.

  • @NotoriousShroom I see. Does it mean that Delta is a higher tier than SEALS, are there soldiers wearing both SEALS and Delta badges?

  • @NotoriousShroom i think thats BS

for SEAL Team 6 you gotta ask and if your lucky your in at least thats what a retired SEAL said how it was

Delta and 6 are not more skilled than SEALs or Berets, they just focus more on Hostage rescue and some other crap.

  • swim didnt get his arms, it raped his chest...so his didnt have one for the pushups

  • omg that's the Civic Center I haven't been there in ages

  • If your into fitness challenges try out Konkura.com - it has every challenge imaginable

  • lol 10 min mile he was on a48 push ups is ok if u dont train push up and sit ups for him were horrible i could do sit ups all day lol and te running wow i hope he dint make it cuase hes gona have a horrible time being traind

  • those are not pushups. those are pussy pushups. i laughed so hard watching this!! you should do comedy

  • @nevereatshrededwheat i disagree pullups are ez for me, the big gauntlet for me in my opinion is the swimming which i already have down to 11 min and by the end of the summer 10 min

  • The minimum requirements to enter BUD/s isn't that hard, but that's why 70-80% of people drop out of BUD/s

  • Pushups my ass.

  • hairy as fuck!!!

  • pushups like that i will do more than 90 ...

  • if you can do 40 real pull ups your a physical badass...

  • the running part looks easy but everything else doesn't

  • this makes people think being a SEAL is easy as hell.

  • seriously, if they double the minimum requirement standards, then maybe BUDS drop out rate would be lower. because it forces people to realize that it can and will get difficult.

  • @Ptorrescardona its harder than you think

in fact my friend took the NSW PST for SWCC alongside SEAL candidates and said everyone was cheating a little bit

cuz swimming and then trying to do pushups then pullups is torture

and the running section is in Boots and later you do it on the beach with soft sand

  • Comment removed

  • really are you fucking serious you dumb fuck ive been in the military i know what a fucking pushup is and if you ever tried even touching down for a sec theyd rip your head off so go do some and shut up

  • Half pushups? Half situps? How tough is that? Good effort, but really. At least you can't cut corners on the run.

  • MURDERS RAPISTS CHILD MOLESTERS WAR CRIMINALS thats the marines.

  • this dude is a sports reporter, new wonder he can't do this, but I think the guys who really want to be seals train for this befor doing the test and ace it

  • The perfect Marine Corps Physical Fitness Test (PFT) includes:

18 minute (or less) three mile run

20 continuous pull-ups (all the way up and all the way down)

100 situps in 2 minutes (all the way up, then down to shoulder blades hitting the ground).

But guess what, performing this perfectly does not even begin to guarantee a good Marine. As far as i'm concerned, fitness is elementary for Marines- it's necessary but not sufficient.

  • wow...pussy guy

those r the pushups u gotta do? i can do 100 of those....

cant even do chin ups..and ure situps...a fat grade 11 could do it...i know cause I used to be tht fat grade 11

  • I don't think he did a single one of his pushups, pullups, or situps properly. Not a single one.

  • No wonder why, 00:28 he looks like a SEAL (the animal not the warrior)!

  • Comment removed

  • thats because these minimum requirements are for all of the navys special jobs. swcc, seals, divers, eod. just because you can pass the requirements doesnt mean your gonna be any of these. theyr all hard training

  • @12robinredbreast id like to see you shoot a video of yourself doing the minimum requirements in perfect form, because this sloppy mess most likely wont be accepted.

  • it looks hard

  • @MsSparkletv I guess...

  • sweet! looks like they took it a lil easy on the guy, but still he pushed hiimself.

  • haha i live in pittsburgh pa

  • This was suppose to come to Pittsburgh, Pa and it got cancelled. So bummed. Hope it comes back.

    -ManTis

    usajunglegym

  • that doesnt look hard at all tbh

  • @04brandl because the seals are over rated......look everyone gets SOOO fuckin stingy when u talk about any branch of the military....."marines the hardest boot camp of them all" and if you look at the shit they actually do.....it really isnt hard, mentally challenging maybe with all the screaming power trip freaks...though this video is barely what seals go through

  • @04brandl

u ever done it? people can say things look easy. do 60 pushups right now and maybe it might be easy for you

  • Comment removed

  • @04brandl you say that when ur sitting on ur ass doing nothing. 500 yards in 12 min alone is hard, then everything else on top... its not easy as you would think

  • @jabara83 i can do it in 9:00 minutes with only side stroke

  • @04brandl Doesn't look that hard huh? Go find the nearest recruiting station and go ahead and give it a try....

  • @04brandl It's not meant to be hard. It's just a test. The standards they set for you to reach are the bare minimum. Anyone who doesn't exceed the standards is likely not going to get a spot in BUD/s.

  • @04brandl lol tryout

  • he should have chosen the sidestroke. wouldn't have killed his arms before doing the push ups.

  • "50 you're halfway there" his face was priceless

  • those aren't pushups get that chest on the ground man!!!

  • He should work on getting his arms and pack parallel before he can do mens pushups lol

  • @guitardc59 thats cheating jackass a real puish up requires 2 inches between you and the ground otherwise youre just laying down

  • @lazybonez1 dude, seriously. Shut your fucking mouth if you don't know what you're talking about. You touch your chest to the ground when you do a pushup. You don't fucking lay on the ground. What a dumbass.

  • haha I use to go there, Not to the seal training thing but that if I am not mistaken is the YMCA Center in downtown Detroit.

Man I wish I knew about this because I am highly interested in going into the SEALS after I go into the USMC

  • you have to join the navy to even try to sign up for the SEALs

  • thats wat i was looking into i m going into force recon then the seals.

  • it is a tad bit more difficult then it sounds buddy

    lol.

  • @44marines Im sure that you cant switch branchs in the military you might have to look up more on how the system works and find out wich one youre gunna go in.

  • @1:03 they dont count those as pushups do they?

  • no lol they just did for him because he's a reporter.

  • lol only for beer drinking sportswriters

  • Some of you guys are wrong. This is not a 'test': it is an evolution to see if you are physically fit enough to be able to attend BUD/S.

A real Navy SEAL workout would look like this:

4 Mile Run in the Sand in 25 Minutes

2 Mile Ocean Swim in 40 Minutes or less.

4 Mile Run in the Sand in 25 Minutes again.

Thats one of god knows how many things the SEALs do.

  • it's a CHALLENGE! Not SEALS workout. it's like a test.

  • are there any uk born people i the US Military

  • hahahaha Navy Seals workout .. my morning workout is more difficult than this

  • yea but this is to see if there ready

its not there actual work out

  • i dont know what it is, but here it looks like it should be more difficult for navy seals training

  • idk

but my uncle tried it and he failed :(

woulda been cool to have a navy seal uncle wouldnt it????

  • how old is he ?

haha yes, yes it would .. ;))

  • i think when he tried he was like 30

    now hes like 49

  • then go join the seals

  • pause it at 1:51 looks like he's taking a crap so funny

  • He shouldn't have eaten the pancakes

  • Zionist/Jews own america anyway so ultimately were doomed.

  • lol word up.. dont slip !!

  • HE WASNT FIIT

  • i was sick all night and didnt get to go on the carb overload dinner with the team. i threw up what little food i had been given after weigh ins and then it was several hours of dry heaves but damn if that continental breakfast wont damn good the next morning. i gained 10lbs that day even though i had to wrestle all day. i got cheated out of 3rd place by that faggot ref. everybody knows it too

  • those pushups wouldnt count cause he wasnt goin down enough

  • Post a video of it and gain all of our respect and prove us wrong. Thats an incredible pace.

  • except they forget to mention the fact your tryout will be full to the brim with people in the pool kicking your head/face and pushing you while you swim.

and the fact that you have to do the tryout at 5 AM with no food in your system.

and most likely you will be sleep deprived.

congratz on those who actually stick with it.

  • i wouldnt make it through half of this .

  • that would mean you in better shape than pretty much any professional athlete and navy seal. I highly doubt your telling the truth.

  • I passed the physical screening test (PST) for seals, it was quite difficult the first time around because i was into body building which does NOT help out with any part of this. i passed it on my sixth go around of it, now i have my SO contract and i leave soon. My respect goes to the SEALs and all other military personnel.

  • Good luck. Agree that bodybuilding is not the solution to getting into shape for BUD/S. If I were preparing for BUD/S (I'm too old now), I would focus on swimming, running, doing flutter kicks while wearing boots and ankle weights, chin-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, and more swimming, and more swimming, AND MORE SWIMMING! You get the picture.

  • just wondering what did u do to get ready for it

  • All of us wannabe seals, eod, diver, swcc, and air rescue guys and some girls get trained by Chief Adams who is a seal and another seal Chris Withrow. Basically what we do are exercises like push ups, sit ups, pull ups, flutter kicks, bear crawls, 8 count body builders, swimming sprints, running.... A lot of this. thats three days a week. but you have to train on your own just give yourself one or two days off and work your ass off for the rest.

  • the PT test in my NJROTC unit is nothin.i got 100 push ups. 112 sit ups. and for the mile and a half, i got 8:43. i hope thats challenging enough for the navy SEALs

  • YA but you want to have 100+ pushups and destroy the minimums.

  • This is just a test to see if your even physically capable. 40 percent make the challenge, but after that only 15 percent of a BUD/S class of around 250 15 percent make it though to be an actual SEAL.

  • they arent that big there rarley 125 in a class

  • Used to be that way. Now a lot of classes are starting with over 200.

  • did you graduate? :)

  • Made it through hell week and into Dive (2nd) phase, but was performance dropped 6 weeks after hell week. 5 out of 130 of the originals graduated in my class..one of the smallest in the history of BUD/S.

  • what kind of things specifically did people get dropped for? Do they just look at you and say your not keeping pace with what they expect?

  • One thing to think about when taking the SEAL PST is the score they want you to reach is MINIMUM. My first PST sucked, but I did meet the requirements. I have been in DEP for the SWCC program for about four months now, and I have had the opportunity to train with other Spec Ops kids, AO1 Nick Martin, and even Jeff Kraus. Those dudes will motivate you to dramatically improve your scores. I've dropped my swim time by two full minutes just learning to master the combat sidestroke!

  • wow arent we cockey and why are you waiting 4 years to go and have you even gotten your so contract

  • I have to go through college and the best thing is college is going to help me so much. My high school wrestling has paid off and got me on the wrestling team in college at 133 so I'm going to be unfucking stoppable when I get orders to BUD/S. I already envisioned my future and SEALs is written all over it.

  • good luck... you are gonna get beat to shit by the instructors if you go in there talking/thinking like that.

  • Haha no shit I'm gonna get beat by the instructors. It's gonna be fun, you gotta think POSITIVE.

  • you don't know what you're talking about son.

he's gonna get beat by the instructors NO MATTER WHAT. 2nd, he has the attitude of a winner and someone who envisions succeeding, i bet he makes it. now move along sylvarius111.

  • where you from man? whats 252 mean cause 252 my area haha. im going to BUD/s after college too. i wrestle too

  • 252 is my fire station number. Anyways, what weight you wrestle?

  • oh ok. well i gain like 10-20lbs a year but im upto 156 now. i went to states and took 4th place in the 105...it sucked, i was skinny and had to lose 8lbs in a week. i had to be as heavy as possible all season and especially for conference cause i wrestled the 112 then for states coach signed me up for the 105...i ate maybe 10 bites of meat all week other than that it was all salad and workouts in sweat gear. i got sick right before way ins from dehidration. i weighed in at 103 though.

  • thats what everyone says..i have seen some tough sob's go in there and drop out within a week.. you would be shocked.. wrestling has little to do with anything you will be doing there.. a lot of it is freezing in water and overcoming the mental parts of it.. you might wanna look into this a little more because you have the wrong idea with the whole unstopable thing.. everyone and anyone that goes into there gets beaten and broken down physically and mentally

  • Listen, I know BUD/S will be the most painfully and probably the worst most hellish experience I can think of, but I know that if I keep a positive attitude, one step at a time I'm good. Wrestling has prepared me for BUD/S. Cutting 30 pounds for hyrations way below a safe body weight was fucking pain, but gaining 5 pounds of water weight every night , killing myself before every match just makes me that more dedicated. My dedication to becoming a SEAL is way more than becoming a good wrestler.

  • You're going to be in the smurf crew. Boat crews are arranged by height and you sound like the little scrawny napoleon type. The thing is little navy seal wannabes aren't as strong as big navy seal wannabes. So when your crew consistently loses they will be punished by instructors. Killing people is a drag anyway.

  • Im training for the fitness challenge in atl. It begins in 28 days. I just did 80 crappy push ups in -1 min (for real) and I would appreciate any training tips. Breaststroke is by best one and running is no problem.Just reply with tips.

  • well he said "almost halfway there at 48" for situps, so obviously you have to do 100 sit ups.

    50 push ups.

who knows how are far in the swim, and i'm guessing a 6 or 7 minute mile run minimum.

  • 500 yard swim 1.5 mile run i think 50 pushups 55 situps

  • re read the req its like 50 situps

  • how much pushups and pull ups do you have to do?

  • to pass 7 but you probably want to do between 25 and 30 before leaving

  • did he pass?

  • negative on that

  • if you were really a canidate they wouldn't have counted any of those push ups...

  • yea those first 2 they would have, but other then that no

  • Anyone know the total #of people who attended?

  • awesome i want to try that

  • lame

  • Are they really counting those pushups.....

  • They are just being nice, he is a civilian. If he (or anyone) were to actually join and go take the test in boot camp and BUD/s they would not let those fly.

  • dude, those were not pushups bro. gotta go all the way down.

  • Going September 6 to Chicago with my brother to do this, we can't wait.

  • i need some tips. i can run about 8-9 miles and i run about 4-6 daily say for weekends. i can do 63 sit ups in one min and i can do about 9 pullups after i try to do pushups but thats the prob. i can only get about 45 pushups so far in 2 mins and im okay at sidestroke. i do the pst everyday by myself and try to work out whatever i can but i rest on the weekends. anyone got some tips to boost the push up count cause im costantly doing them trying to prepare.

  • start doing some chest presses at the gym, flat bench, incline, and dumbell flys will help build up your chest and shoulders, which will help you with pushups.

  • keep your form perfect every push up, and if you want to make it into the seals your going to need running more than anything. get going at about 6-7 minute miles at a 10 mile straight and you will make it threw basic training. it's form and consistency, thats all you need

  • ha running is important but i think everything will get tested equally your not gonna get through buds only being good at running good luck on the pool competency test and o course if all you can do is run

  • you're gonna want to get yourself to atleast 80 pushups in the 2 minutes

  • yah more would be better but 80 is a good goal

  • Hehehehi was there and dam that swim killed me i got 20 laps 13:39 :) (i suck)

  • It's 10 laps not 20. I just started preparing for the swimming last week. Right now I swim 500 yards in about 10 minutes and 40 seconds. Which is not good. But that is without training so I'm not too worried.

  • ? it depends on how you say it. 1 lap can count as back and forth. or 1 can stanp for going up the lane, and no that dose not suck 10 min is very good ( i have been training i got around ten too :)

  • Yea, I thought a lap was just getting to the other side of the pool, but when I got there to test for the first time, he told me other wise, lol.

The swim totally killed me, and the run was soooo horrible because of it. I thought I was going to drown during that damn swim, lol. I need to work a lot to get where I need to be.

Anyway, I apparently don't breath when I swim, which killed my endurance, plus I did it freestyle. The Combat side stroke will save energy. I'm working on that one. ;)

  • He thinks he did good. He sucked ass. 40% who make the minimum req. But they don't stand a chance in bud/s. You need to excell far above and beyond the minimum. BUD/S isn't about doing the minimum. It's about pushing yourself farther than you ever thought you could. If I did as bad as this reporter I'd shoot myself instead of telling myself that I did good.

  • stop boasting over a computer.

  • Tell me the part where I'm boasting. I'm saying if I took this test thinking I'm going to excel and did as bad as him I would kill myself. This reporter is telling himself that he did good so that he could boast about his "accomplishment" when it's really a failure. Us Americans set the standard too low. And this guy is complicit in that trend by patting himself on the back for a shitty display of his fitness.

  • are u a SEAL?

  • NO. You're not going to find a SEAL posting comments on Youtube.

  • you dont know that

  • I know at least one former SEAL that has an account on Youtube.

Anyway, he's right. You can't just do the minimum and expect to pass BUD/S. My SEAL motivator wants us to do at least double or triple the required amount before we go to BUD/S. I'm no where near that at the moment, but I have people in my class that are doing 1000 and 1500 meter swims and 3.5-5 mile runs. But then again, I think he said that he has a 100% pass rate in his class for people who go to BUD/S so far, so that's good.

  • lol so true

  • How do you know that I'm not a SEAL?

  • lol because your on youtube comment forums saying your a SEAL. haha what a joke

  • I never said I was a SEAL.

  • seals are normal people man, who says they don't get on youtube? they're not bound to secrecy like GB are so they can say thier seals....i am in special ops to but i guess cause i just said i am means im really not right?

  • just STFU with your extensive SOF experience. Turd.

  • haha

  • well, seeing as part of the SEAL mindset is not to go around and boast ore mention it, most do not even tell anyone. SEALs do not need to tell anyone or feel approval from anyone or the need to brag. So i'd most likely think you're FOS.

  • i never said i was a SEAL...

  • well said
