Jamie Sullivan is very innocent and very angelic-like in the way she interacts with people in the book, but they make her very sarcastic in the movie. Dissapointing if you ask me.

This movie is the typical high school-jerk-love story, yet it has one of the strongest ideas and lessons of love and sorrow. One of its strongest messages: Don't let what others think about you hinder you; follow your heart and do as you wish. As a guy, if more guys watched this, they would be inspired by such an angelic character as Jamie. Very inspirational. VERY inspirational. Definitely one of my favorite movies. Bravo on such a great drama.

@theicookie the book and the movie aren't really the same storyline, or at least that is how it looks like, seeing the trailer. I've only read the book, and the two look really different. If you watched the movie first, that is probably why you didn't understand the book.
