  • Appassionata...what a great musical representation of the turbulance of human passion! It feels good to be alive!

  • not gonna lie, kind of reminded me of Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter

  • @0RPH3U5the666r3ml1n lol that's true

  • Cómo me gusta este tema... Este tipo es un groso.

  • 8:05 - 8:15

    So beautiful. :')

  • 9:12 did he just play the lowest C in the bass? good man, I always play it too, even though this low note didn't even exist when the sonata was written

  • @308813062 yea, he did. and the reason he did is because even though it wasn't written (The pianos played by beethoven didn't have this lowest C) many people agree that, had he had access to this low C, beethoven would have most certainly written it into the sonata.

  • so beautiful

  • @imrich6: What I have done thus far is to simply dig the file out of the cache. But now and then, with some files, there simply isn't a copy in the cache. I suppose I should go get myself some downloading software...

  • @imrich6:

Yup. Barenboim is absolutely great; the camera work must be among the very worst and most amateurish I have ever seen. And worst of all. they have built in some anti-download thing so I can't get it to my hard disk. ;-)

  • Bravo, Maestro!

  • based on the thumping, the pedalling was rather violent. beautiful interpretation nonetheless.

  • show more of his hands! >O

  • i simply love his interpretation!!!

  • @9:12 - Looks like a bomb went off next to his seat. LOL.

    Very Good performance.

  • @cjcarrington97

well if you can explain the connection with Beethoven, Barenboim other than with some low extra-aesthetic reasons.

  • @LorentzElena32 There is no need for much explanation on the subject of Barenboim's interpretation needed. This performance is sublime. I made the comment about the explosion of the note as something that stood out to me uniquely compared to most other performances of this movement I've watched.

    Hope that's cleared things.

  • 0:48 I'm glad Jack Nicholson played Beethoven.

  • @Cosifantuttee hahaha he really looks like him! lol

  • @senripiano Looks like McMurphy feigning lobotomy :)

  • Every time I hear this piece I get chills down my spine. One of Beethoven's best sonatas. And Barenboim is an unbelievable pianist..

  • This is the most magnificent masterwork for piano I ever heard... And Baremboim is unique!

  • che chiarezza.

  • Gorgeous..I'm in love with him.
