  • what does he say at 0:14? "this is called carla, etude for polostay?"

in the "to be continued" album version of this song, it just says "this one is called...(breath)...carla, etude."

  • 'for publicity'

  • @torturedej carla, etude for publicity...

not sure what he meant by that. thanks for clearing that up as I can't hear well.

  • some believe hes dressed as Marie-Antoinette =D

  • I believe he is supposed to be dressed as Louis XIV or someone like that because he has referred to this concert in interviews. But hey, Mozart does make more sense!

  • This one is not on my itunes download, Elton John Live in Australia. I hate when they do that!

  • i believe its on iTunes in the To Be Continued album because I have it

  • That's fine and thanks for answering. However this is supposedly the companion DVD to the Live in Australia CD and download, and I'm sad that this is not included in either. That was the point I was trying to make. Thanks again.

  • @IrisMG "Carla/Etude", "Cold as Christmas" and "Slow Rivers" were not included on the original Live in Australia album because it was released by MCA Records, who did not own the rights to Elton's 1981-86 catalogue (Geffen did). Sadly, when the remastered version was released in the late '90s, they still opted to leave those songs off, even though they had since acquired the rights to them.

  • @GlitzPianoman ah that explains it then. Thank you!

  • @GlitzPianoman also, the CD is 74:53 as is. Adding Carla, Cold and Slow means it would not fit on one CD. However, what I did is this. I took the Carla from the '90 To Be Continued Box Set and made my own Live in Australia...I took the 14 songs from the album plus Carla, put them on computer and then made a new CD. I burned them onto a CD and then used 0 sec gaps between each song for the concert experience.

  • ELTON, FOREVER, IS A GENIUS!!!!!

  • No one comes closer to classic!

  • I thought he was dressed as Chopin. I can't tell them apart, anyway.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video. It is in my top 10 songs of Elton's.

    thanks,

    Lady Chocice
