The International bankers (Rockerfeller's, Rothschild's, etc.) get 6% on the national debt (it is on the Federal Reserve website). They create money from nothing and charge interest on it. There is no "reserve" and they are NOT Federal (no more than FEDERAL EXPRESS). We are slaves to them and they will own/control every government in the world (if they do not already). They control the IMF, World bank, UN, etc.

If the rich people and big business gives back what they get from Republican tax breaks and the Democrats return all they give away, we wouldn't have a deficit and we could go back to good governing for all the people. Either vote Independent or at least for the moderates that can see both sides of an issue irrespective of their party. The party extremists in congress on both sides are killing us. This is not a sporting event where winning is everything. Its a system to a balance government.

Buy a Porsche, pay a high tax rate.

Buy an electric car, pay a low tax rate.

Nice idea, except I think the car's tax rate should be only dependent on the price (which usually denotes the luxury value.

Basic amenities (food, clothing, shelter) should have no tax rate. And various luxury items going up the chain should get various rates of tax. In short, the less wasteful spending on things you don't need, lower your tax rate.

What about local taxes? They take almost as big a hunk when you add things up like trash pickup stickers, city stickers for cars, licence plate stickers, parking meters, specialty taxes for schools such as various gasoline taxes and taxes for alcohol and cigarettes, zoning permits, licences and required shots for pets, toll bridges, all kinds of special permits get taxed. It never ends. Abolishing the IRS will barely make a dent.

What if electric cars suck compared to alternatives and pollute more in the end including production of the car, production of power and disposal of the car and it's toxic batteries? Let damagecontrol decide what to produce - not planned economics. Do the alternatives have to apply for political support before they can go compete with electric cars?

Should get the State Governments to do what Florida and 5 other states are now looking at: Federal tax Escrow accounts. A kind of nullification, if the State governments do this, then there is very little the Feds can do about it except capitulate, or create a major poltical incident.

This taxes in this country are among the lowest in the world and wages are among the highest per capita. Inflation not taxation is what is taking the biggest bite out of your buying power. bigkellyr...hate to tell you but the income taxes you pay PROVIDE not one penny to running the government...they go to pay the interest on the debt on the past spending of the Fed government... Corp taxes pay the entire bill to run the military... gas taxes pay for roads, local Property taxes pay for schools...and the current Obama admin has spent more money than every administration from George Washington to GW Bush...combined...

Wrong. Australia has a better system than we do. ALL they pay is income tax. nothing else. All we should pay is income tax and nothing more and everyone pay the same percentage. the Government will have to learn to spend that money and no more if they cant do it, time to get new people in there who can.

Any capitalist would send work over seas with all the damn government policies and intervention into the corporate realm...why pay un-just taxes to a corrupt system and have to pay employees a minimum wage (not a negotiated wage) and have to pay for their health insurance and have to pay social security and have to pay medicare and have to pay sick/vacation leave...BS...overseas is only logical.

Many companies are now paying for their employees to excercise on company time... and providing health insurance and wellness programs and it is paying huge dividends in terms of productivity... That is where the focus needs to be, because only productivity produces wealth and their is no other way around it...
