  • I love the wartime weekend

But The guys in uniform are all far to old

  • @nylonTS Many a tune played on an old fiddle

  • @MrGreendew1 Great event every year ...Cheers

  • Pickering used to be good, but now its becoming a victim of its own success and to much commercialism is creeping in, for example the 2 dancing at the beginning, they never had that dance in the 40's the closest to that dance was the slosh, and at 2.16 and after, they are playing 1950's jivers, i have re-enacted since the 1980's and not just jumped on the band wagon, i am also a 50's DJ, i know many authentic reenactors who do not now attend this event, shame its going down hill

  • @tonupjohnny Fair Comment, but I enjoyed it and so did many others, by the way that was up at Grosmont

  • @howarth004 Its amazing the permutations there can be for problems to occcur with uploading to or accessing youtube! Something new happens almost every week down here lately!.

  • @ADMIRALSCORNER oNE THING THOUGH MIKE , THE DOWNLOADING SPEED SEEMS TO HAVE GOT A LOT QUICKER UP HERE , HAS IT IMPROVED DOWN YOUR AREA YET?

  • @howarth004 I have checked the local speeds 3.2 kbps download and 0.525kbps upload. So no change here. I guess upload is what we use to get videos to youtube. That has not changed ever here.

  • @ADMIRALSCORNER Mine has jumped up to 6.78 for download and 0,7 for ypload Mike , so a big improvement , download was well below 4 not that long ago

  • Yes wonderful video. Now where were all the children? Sent to country towns?

I do love seeing all those people dressed in uncomfortable clothing. Been there done that.

  • @Daikenboy Thanks for the comment, hard times , we are lucky to have missed all that
