  • Fully awesome!!!!

  • ej co znaczy JP2GMD?

  • Stupid tv show rules.. That could be shown in 1 min, but instead 4 mins just for build some "tension"...

  • Now imagine the same scenario, except using a loaded gun instead of a ball. The bullet from the gun flies with a speed, let's call it Vb. The car is going twice the speed of the bullet (2*Vb). The vectors' directions are the same as in this video. Now try to imagine how would the bullet behave when shot from the barrel of the gun :) SCIENCE!

  • od 3:30 zaczyna przeklinać. ;D

  • @sdflksdfkfh 3/10

  • @sdflksdfkfh

    wow you suck

  • @sdflksdfkfh Stupid American.

  • 0:44 STIG !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • 3:50

  • Is this Suzuka?

  • Why does he have to go all the way around the track? Can that little truck not hit 100km/h from the beginning of the straightaway?

  • @rekcaHrepyH

It probably can't and needs to accelerate at a constant rate just to be safe.

  • WTF IR THIS WITHC CRATF!?!?!?1

  • DO IT WITH A BULLET!

  • Were you really surprised?

  • MYTHBUSTERS DID IT.

  • awesome

  • Vector ?? what is that mean

  • @bofawziii Vector - a quantity completely specified by magnitude and direction (velocity)

  • @dragonphilia I think it would be a Quality, not a quantity. Quantity implies a scalar :X

  • this is fucking intense lol

  • the music is WAY too intense...it's stressing me out

  • every time i see a car chasing scene in a movie where the bad guys are shooting guns out the windows i'll never see it the same

  • shittt the japanese guys got REALLY excited

  • Me and another guy are arguing about this. The other guy says that the speed of the ball is affected by the speed of the truck it is being shot off. I say that the speed of the ball remains the same, it is just the time in which distance increases/decreases between the ball and truck that changes based on the truck's speed. Who is correct? Or niether?

  • @admilu Aren't you saying the same thing? The ball has always a +100km/hr speed because of the car(it's on the car). Then it is shot to the opposite direction so it decelerates to 100km and thus gets static - 0km/hr.

  • dramatic science

  • now /b/ can STFU

  • @NullPoint84 cant forget /k/

  • Holy crap! i just learned something from this! Thanks Japanese friends!!!

  • You're a retard.... the forward bouncing of the ball is generated by the spin of the throwing machine.

  • from the replay i think it may have just been "spin" from the ball, since it doesn't actually move in the direction of the truck until it bounces :)

  • The law of conservation of momentum just states that an object's momentum does not change unless acted upon by an outside force.

I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what momentum really is.

As other posters have stated, the ball's spin caused it to roll on the ground (which ironically enough, can be explained with something called angular momentum, which is also a conserved quantity in physics).

  • lol cool

  • Can anyone tell me the name of this show? I've seen other outstanding clips (rolling a tire down a ski slope, how much weight in fish a stray cat can carry), and want to find more.

  • That was intense.

  • SO SUSPENSEFUL!!!!!!! AHHHHH

  • i love how the guy driving the car has a full racing suit and crash helmet and the guy sitting OUTSIDE on the back of the car has...........a denim shirt.

  • xD!! seriously, funny notice...

  • @ShinGouki86 denim is impenetrable.

  • good use of "the bourne * " soundtrack

  • now this kind of videos is very useful for school presentations.

  • hell yeah

  • SCIENCE!

  • the helmet was for the lulz guys

  • Hilarious! Having such a boring 'experiment' with an obvious outcome set to this music and performed with such urgency is just plain hilarious.

  • the guy in the car has a helmet, the guy outside has nothing lol

  • good observation lol

  • I was surprised to see a Japanese car climb to 100 km/h

  • Its good as a joke, but if you seriously think that way, well, you're stupid. Hope it was a joke.

  • I thought of adding "Ba Dum Tssshhhh" at the end, but... I thought the joke was obvious

  • Well, they've officially diagnosed some paranoia in me while I visited them, so its just me.

  • who did you visit and why did they diagnose you with two legs?

  • What?

  • who did yu visit and why did they diagnose you with no nose?

  • It's You're. Moron?

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, actually it is. If you don't respect yourself enough to learn your native language correctly, you are a moron.

  • derka derk derk derk

  • In english please, goddammit.

  • lol i watched this in my physics class yesterday.

  • the Japanese have made physics fun! thanks japan!

  • There was a stupid thing here: in a truck running at 100 km/h (62 mph), the driver is protected with a helmet and a seat belt while the guy doing experiment is equipped with a ... pair of cloth glove.

  • I was wondering the same thing. lmao.

  • nothing back there

sucks to be that guy lol

  • If he'da wrecked and lived, he would have been like "these cloth gloves saved my life"

  • OMG I LOVE IT.

    But agreed, a tad overdramatic.

    I HEART PHYSICS. :)

-is actually doing that right now-

    ahaha.

  • i was just proven wrong...

    damn you physics teacher

  • Yeah, hell yeah

  • this reminds me of my high school physics class...i hate adding vectors. someone in the world is probably using it at the moment. very dramatic though

  • talk about makin things dramatic

  • Good idea

  • I like how they used music from four different movies :P

  • Why does the driver (who's wearing a seatbelt, and is also inside the cabin) need a helmet, but the guy who's sitting outside on the back of the truck has no head protection at all?

  • Yeah I was wondering that too xDD

  • That truck rips a mad skid at the start

  • Fisica EXPERIMENTAL!! Nada de subir y bajar indices :D

  • Awesome and true.

    Excelente

  • suspense... no suspenso...

  • Great video!

  • +1 Relativistic xD

  • Awesome...

  • Nice test, the sum of vectors is zero.

  • whoa!

  • that's absolutely insane
