Windows Xp Still Rocks vs Windows 7 and VIsta!

I don't really know if Windows XP is good. You can say that for work and you need many copies of windows then windows XP is a good choice cos i bet you can get them cheap today rather than a lot of copies of windows 7. But for home if u have the choice between win xp and win 7 then go for win 7. Maybe it's 0.00001% slower then xp but it has a nice theme and is easier to use

Windows XP came out in 2001 so it would run on new hardware back then the same Windows 7 runs on new hardware right now. Most consumers complain about this problem with Vista but they were just too blind to see that they needed to upgrade their computer hardware. When a new operating system comes out, of course hardware requirements are going to go up.

Nevertheless, it's a good thing if the hardware upgrades too, it'll just make everything that much faster, easier.

heres a fact... 3rd party stuff does slow down your computer and if thats not enough... I highly doubt you have XP64 bit so Windows 7 (or vista) 64 bit can use more then 3.25-3.75 gigs of RAM a new operating system isnt about all the flashy things it gives you.

Actually I installed Windows 7 the final release by microsoft and it was eating almost 1 gig of ram while XP with that third party software as antivirus and others 325 megs, also if you search the web there have been done some benchmarks test on dualcore and quadcore cpus where XP still proves to be faster. Windows 7 is faster than vista and better for 3d graphics with new directx. I recommend for testing a clean install of XP. SInce people feel 7 faster because their xp install is saturated.

i have windows 7 ultimate, and its great dont get me wrong but xp will never ever be beaten for performance,

ands its not expected to be....  its less advanced...

if windows 7 performance was better the system requirements would be lower than xp...but there not , there about 4 times more
