It's funny, when I first heard Dodger saying his name was Dodger, with his accent I thought he said his name was Thoncha and all the other characters weren't saying his name clearly where I thought it really was Thoncha as his name. Plus, when all the other characters were calling Fagin as Fagin, with Dodger's accent I thought he called Fagin as Fagey for a nickname.

The words by Charles Dickens, the music by Lionel Bart, the Direction from Sir Carol Reed and the Actors !

What a fabulous cast with the perfect "Fagin" in Ron Moody, who is STILL acting 40 years later! and, of course, Jack Wyld and Oliver Reed who BOTH drank themselves to death, sadly. The rest of the cast was top class and includes one of The UK's finest EVER Actors in The "Undertaker" Leonard Rossiter ( RIP ).

Oliver was charmingly innocent too !.
