I didnt have any kickback with my reezen 6.5 .....i didnt see a noticeable drop in speed between the two bows unless i chrono'd them. Shoot what ever makes you feel comfortable.

theres too many other bow manufacturers that actualy put time & effort into making the bows they sell instead of spending most of their budget on advertising their name(( like mathews.)) thats why I will never buy Another mathews or have anything good to say about them. their last 3 bows are total crap... no offense.

I completely agree with you. Although i have had good luck with my DXT, Monster XLR8, and Z7. But i tell ya, if i wasnt with mattews id be with Hoyt. I think they have their stuff together...... and to have a bow withstand 1500 dry fires.....ive seen mathews disintegrate after one dry fire.

@dieselsdad31 On the hoyt, they only tested the limbs to 1500 dry fires, not the cams or wheels or the rest of the bow like I originaly thought also. mathews limbs had a simmilar test as well but not sure of their results. I've seen a hoyt power halk dry fired & the cam & a half system crumpled the first time.

The mic is actually screwed up. The reezen was working well but i have retired it and went with the new Z7. The Z7 is so much quieter and smoother. . . .granted it is a tad slower but you can hardly tell unless your chrono'ing the thing.

My reezen 6.5 at 65lbs and 28.5 in draw is 316 fps with a 335gr arrow on the scale! I could push the weight to 70 and get 325 but im not a speed freak like alot of people ! I'm more of a less poundage and more performance/ accuracy guy myself ! Does it make anybody sleep better knowing that they have the fastest bow on the market ? I sleep just fine shooting 320fps ! I haven't had a deer complain yet !!!!!!

actually 336 would be about right 70 lbs is the heaviest draw weight you can get on that bow gets and the maximum draw length is 30 so he probly is shootin around what hes sayin just depends what grain arrows hes usin

Nice group at 36..But at longer yards you will have trouble. your letting your bow jump up in the air when you shoot! Your sling is too tight let some pressure off of your grip and, let the bow drop forward.

on that bow i have a vapor trail drop away... it gets out of the way in plenty of time... .. i just bought the xlr8 and am setting it up pretty much the same way. Im using either the limb saver drop away or the rip cord... for sites im using the sur lok lethal weapon 2... for arrows im using the high country speed pro max ss ... they are the 6.2gpi .... and i use 100 gr heads. the reezen is a little longer then the dxt....

you can oder the arrows up from any place. They are made by High Country Archery. You want to go with the speed pro max ss if you get any. They are 6.2 gpi. Now they are wicked light weight and are a little brittle but if your poking something in the pump station youll be fine. Ebay has them as well.

well i got rid of my dxt for the reezen.... however, the reezen is longer and a little more noise. I do feel the dxt is a better bow for tight, crouched, tree stand shots. I love both bows.....i guess it just depends on how im using them....on the ground and stalking...or in a tree. Just find a shop where youcan demo the bow before you commit to anything.

well I like my faster bows because I can aim for the shoulder and blow through bone with 94 ft lbs with the xforce and apex 7 (80lbs and 30in soon) my mq1 has never met a shoulder it coulden't handle on a whitetail either.

After 18 years of shooting, and 12 indoor 5 spot trophies, and now my fifth 3D trophy , speed is nice but not as forgiving. People are so fixated on speed they forget about accuracy and forgiveness. Its not any better to dryfire your bow than shooting super light arrows!!! Ive seen bows blow up,limbs crack, and arrows explode!! SCARY! When your spending 7 or 800 on a bow its not worth it to shoot to light an arrow! Shoot 350gr or close , you wont know the difference !!! Happy shooting!

I think the best arrows ive shot to date are Maxima hunters with weight forward . My groups tightend so much that you must be crazy to shoot the same target by mistake!!! at a 120 to 140 a dozen O my GOD!! I love my reezen so much ill never stray to any other bow manufacturer ! I think there is to much hype on speed , and people need to shoot some of the garbage bows out there and figure out that quality , innovation, and dependability are key points to a good bow! Not because my buddy has one!!

ive got a dozen of the hunters the 3d selects and the aramids. the aramids are very heavy and a lot slower then what im use to but good lord almighty they are a tight arrow. i cant shoot anymore then one at the same target up to 30 yards. My first week with them i robin hooded 3 times. They are by far the best arrow i have ever shot....and talk about straightness...woow. I blasted a 1/2 plywood frame with one and pulled it out and checked it for straightness and it was still dead on.

well i am a 27" draw and im maxed right out now on my poundage. the digi scale says 72.8 lbs..... with my speedpro max ss arrows ive seen 347 fps and even 353fps.....that also shooting a 320 gr arrow

well if you get the 70lb limbs and max it out ....depending on your arrows also...you might so 330 or more. i have good luck with the High Country Archery Speed Pro Max SS arrows. As long as you dont go below 330 grains per arrow you should be safe.

thanks.....i saw that new string stopper. its the same thing as what the monster comes with. i actually see no difference in sound with it. i just put a heavier dampener in the top and saw a little less shock in the bow....not that there is much anyway.

ive a vapor trail strring and cable, sure loc sight, vt drop away rest, and a doinker stabilizer. the set up is pretty decent. if and when you get a reezen change out the string suppressors. the stock ones are junk and the rubber is too soft. i also put a heavier dampener in the top as well.
