  • I've watched it live. I've no regret. This is really the greatest and best musical ever. Really, u have to watch it live there and then. It's beautiful.

  • Like seriously, who starts a show with such a huge showstopper? EPIC!!!!!!

  • apparently, disney did not want a big over the top opening to the lion king... well what can i say, this is probably the biggest and most over the top opening number in the history of broadway and film, after this, no one mourns the wicked and all that jazz

  • i seen this when it was in Philadelphia last year. fantastic time. the Box seat was perfect.

  • So since they spliced the song to Circle of Life reprise which is at the end of the movie, is that lion doll supposed to be Kiara?

  • I saw this last week! It was AMAZING! :D I cried during this scene! :') In fact, out of all of the scenes, Circle of Life got the loudest cheer!

  • this was so beautiful esp the beginning. it brought tears to my eyes.

  • I saw this with my parents I was around 9 or 10 at the Pantages in Hollywood and I'll never forget it. I think was sitting one seat away from the right center aisle and maybe less than rows away from the stage. When I saw those animals come up beside me, I lost it. Complete waterworks. I knew they were people dressed as animals but to me, they WERE real animals. Even now, over 10 years later, it still gets to me.

  • i get chills down my spine it is so AMAZING!!

  • The most epic moment of my life was the "circle of life" number. When they all raised their fists to the air and cut out, that was freaking epic!

  • i remeber my mom buying tickets to go see this and i didnt want to go but i did AND I FRICKEN LOVED IT i didnt want the show to end :(

  • @Spud11357 omg i know right! it ended like so fast! i was like, "WTH?! I have been waiting 4 this all summer and IT'S ALREADY OVER?! =("

  • I so gonna see this live, I swear to myself

  • i remember seeing this in london, and even though i had just been robbed of about 200 quid, i was just so damn happy that i didn't care.

  • the ensemble....flawless. Broadway Magic at its finest! i always like to give credit to the ensemble when i watch the Tonys hahah

  • Now whenever I hear this I think of Doctor Who

  • Let me say: I usually think mainstream theatre to be disappointing and commercial. I usually stick to sondheim, herman, rogers and hammerstein and all the rest. But this is something else. If you haven't seen this show: see it. One of the most memorable nights in the theatre ive ever had.

  • Just noticed the giraffes for the first time... this is such a beautiful number.

  • wow, i just cried like a bitch.

  • Oh I just bawled at this.

  • So beautiful.

  • any body noticed that the lioness in the front picked something up at 2:49

  • rafiki in this one is terrible. not a low enough voice

  • Also in the real show. The other two male singers ARE UP IN THE FUCKING SECOND TIER ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE THEATER!! AMAZING EFFECT!

  • I saw the show. We had tickets right on one of the inside rows... a cheetah, giraffe and elephants passed by me so close I could touch them.. Me my mom were crying. I go: "Oh my god.. *sob* why are we crying." my mom: "I don't know!" FRICKING SEE IT BEETCHES!

  • i have chills. and tears i feel welling up

    its so beautiful

  • Ah, my first musical...I was in the second row when I saw this. Truly the most magical thing I've ever seen.

  • There's a good a reason why this was performed there. This was the 10th anniversarry that it got 6 out of 11 of those Tony Awards!

  • idk how much more epic that can get that was fantastic

  • I got shivers down my spine...

  • I want to be one of the Lionesses one day

  • OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

    Enough said.

  • I love the show so much.

  • I cried the whole way through

  • @spikeyhamster You're not the only one!

  • Press "9." This is SO LOUD. I love this music, and how these performers can just GIVE IT UP every time.

  • I am 19 years old, and The Lion King is my favorite movie. Ever since the Broadway show opened in 1997 I have wanted to see it. When the touring show came to my area, it was way too expensive for me to go. This weekend, I went up to New York City and fulfilled my lifelong dream. I couldn't even get through the first 5 seconds of Circle of Life without crying. This is a spectacular show. A must see. Broadway at its most innovative.

  • when i saw this in philly there was a korean actress in the backround, which i know doesnt matter but it was one of those things like, "Really? did you u think i wouldnt notice her?"

  • @dk5388 Why would she seem out of place? I don't understand... There aren't Koreans in Africa? its a musical about talking lions and monkies, and you're worried about a korean looking out of place?
