i LOVE this movie... yea no shit its low budget and ridiculously cheesey but it was diff than other horror movies of the time and its creepy, vulgar and dark like horror movies should b. dont discount that ending. i saw this when i was around 8 and it def left an impact on me and i still like it to this day. in my opinion its up there w friday, halloween and nightmare and is one of the most underated horror/b films around

Just curious though, do you watch, and like, any horror films? All of them have stupid things like the beehive scene. People like a little bit of camp. Also I think you pick things apart to much. Clearly in the beehive scene you can see the broom handle splinter as he almost has it broken but dies before he can get the final push in.

No matter what movie is made, there is going to be criticism whether you like it or not. Love it or hate it, like or dislike.Everybody has an opinion and is entitled to it. Sure this movie had some bad acting and dialogue, not too mention extremely gay fashion. But it was funny to say the least, and they don't call this a cult classic for nothing. The ending to this movie was a great shocker of any horror film. So in conclusion not a bad review. But not an entirely bad movie like its sequels.
I am glad someone reviewed this lousy movie. I have no plans on watching it, but I loved the review. I like to listen to reviews from disgruntled critics.

That's not true. I can think for myself. After seeing clips of this film, I could see that it is not something I would want to see. As for listening to reviews from disgruntled critics, I like to listen to them for entertainment value more than anything.
Well, their problem-solving must have been really impaired. Why not just re-shoot the earlier scene? Why not just have his mustache shaved instead of a fake one!? They chose the absolute worst option of all.

Let me tell you something - some critics really don't know what the fuck they're talking about.
I personally liked this movie. Horrible acting, your typical teenage slasher movie, but the ending made up for that all.
I also liked the other 2 Sleepaway Camp movies that followed after this one.
