You really should take the 1st nail out of the arch of those shoes so that your feet look better!1 no offense=] also, remember to turn out from your hips
You can go to SAB or ABT because they have dorms you can stay in...you have to pay to stay there but its totally worth it oh and I wouldn't recommend doing pointe on carper
pointe rox! i have mias from grishko and i've done about 3-4 months of pointe so as much as u i guess. I need to start practicing more at home though. I can't wait until we tart doing variations!!!!!!!!!
No, this video I was only on 5 classes. I am now a little past 3 months and I got new pointe shoes (Chacotts) and they are super lightweight, supportive, and they broke in in one class so since it was the day before Turkey Day break my teacher let my class and I do four little swans en pointe since we learned it on flat in the summer and it was uber fun :) But for the summer workshop I did Bluebird :)
Don't thank me, thank my ballet instructor :) Well, one of them. They confused me when I first got a theraband, a friend had to help me when I moved. :) Do you have a pinky ball? If you rub a pinky ball on the attachments in your back you can gain 3 inches of turn-out in 4-5 months! :)
Thanks :) I just got good shoes (Chacott Veraneses or something like that) but I am waiting to break them in before a video I just passed my 1 month line :)
Yeah, I'm getting a pointe shoe fitting because all academy kids have to get a fitting, but he fits are the Principles (above) and Bloch Suffixes, but the Chacotts I have now have gotten me through the four swan variatian multiple times, and got me doing piroettes in center at a little past the 3 month mark.
i just went on pointe, and right after my poite class i have lyrical, and once i take my shoes off, and put my footundeez on, it feels great!
btw, it took me one class to not fall down while turning (but at my first class, my ribbons and elastics weren't sewn on, so my shoes fell off while doing turns! LOL)
LOL I know I have pointe then a rehearsal usually and you get on ballet shoes and your like "Woo!" LOL once my toes lost all circulation and my teacher was like "Uh, do you need to work barefoot for a while and get the blood running?" because if there is no circulation you can't even improve on pointe so I was barefoot for about 5 mins.
Hey. my advice is DON'T get gaynors or blochs!I go to a ballet boarding school and none of our teachers allow us to wear gaynors and blochs tend to be clunky. Try freed or solos. Hope it works out for you.
Hi! I am replying to your video. My advice is to use your upper body more. This will help take weight off of your shoes as it makes you look elegant and graceful.
i just got on pointe! its gonna be really hard, but ppl said that it would hurt but it doesnt all that much bc i have those gel toe pads, and i hardly feel a thing! plus i only go up for a few seconds, so i have to look forward to my toes hurting SO much!
pointe rocks! i just started, and im with some more advanced girls, so i have a wider toe box than they do (theirs are MUCH narrower cuz their older and have a few years more experience) but i was lucky to not be the only girl just starting pointe in my class - there were i think two or three others
Same too! I am taking class with 13 year olds, 14 year olds, and a couple 15 year olds! But my sisters are older so I have their sense of humor and stuff so yeah it's not scary. My friend and I are making Doggie MTV with my dog because he has... uhm... problems. So yeah, I am looking at this video and I pretty much suck :b
honey, you have nice, nice, excellent form. i have just ONE tip: please don't do pointe on carpet. carpet, no matter what's underneath, isn't sturdy, and it isn't good for your pointe shoes. but! I can tell from your en pointe that you have a nice arch. =]
I know about the whole carpet thing... I tried to stay on the little plastic thing you buy for your wheely chair and then I was like "AH! I NEED TO GET AWAY FORM THIs DESK I KEEP KICKING IT"
But today I found out a way to get my web cam on the ground so now I can stand further away from the desk and yah :) I took it off the desk and around the computer so it is on theground. Urm. THANKS!!! But yeah... thanks. I am off carpet now and am publishing a better pointe vid.
No, what happens is at the end of an actual class the shank for some reason locks up and I can barely walk in them. They're narrow and awkward and don't deal well in long portions of classes and squish the wrong places. They are for long narrow feet and people with short classes... I am working on getting over the box but in the long term for my arch this shoe won't show off the arch very well.
According to my teacher, what happens is I'll push them over their limit and they'll freeze up like a muscle that was stretched too far. They're just bad beginner shoes over all.
My teacher gave me some tricks of the trade and I used them and now they arch a lot more and they fit. I dyed my hair since my parents decided if you don't do drugs and drink and sleep if you dye your hair it's ok. I dyed it black and I have mahagony/auburn highlights. They just made me promise to not to drugs drinks blah blah who does that anyway except losers.
Well yah, drinks and drugs are for slugs. I think it's just parents being parents. And we also decided, dying your hair won't hurt anyone, yourself, or contribute to the war, or anything bad. All it will do is boost your confidence, nothing wrong with that, no matter how young you are. My parents aren't not protective though, I never go somewhere with my friends without them or a parent they trust when girls my age are at the mall all alone. They're bimbos.
the drugs and stuffs true but u have to be happy at least your parents care about you :) and i cant go any where with out my parents and im 13 they arent afriad of e getting in trouble its some people are really bad
Yah I was at the mall today with my mom and sister and this creeper pedophile walked like an inch next to us and he just stood in front of us and didn't move until he was that close and then he did it again when we were leaving so I farted and he walked away really fast and I laughed and got some looks at Dillards.
lol this weird asian dude i saw when i was walking around my neighborhood and i was far from my mom so i ran away lol then i told my mom when we got there it was odd he wasnt anywhere in sight and he was hidding behind a bush i highly doubt it was for shade he was right up against ther house it was odd
omg yah once I was going to go to TJ Maxx with my family and then this guy was eyeing this gramma and then he hid under a car and stuff so we just left and decided to go back tomorrow
oh k kool its nice talkin to u i missed u so u not making a site no more?? i dont think i am to much work i think ill live my boring life doing homework and going to school wantin money lol i totally wish i was old enoug to get a job
did you see instant improvement in your arch when you began theraband??

If you're looking for a new shoe, my recommendation would be to either go for RP's or grishko.. my RP's have lasted so long. :)

No, don't get Bloch pointe shoes, they has zero support and die really fast. Gaynor's always work best for me.
Dancer1590 3 years ago
You say Blochs have no support?
You must have MAGICAL GMs if they have more support than Blochs.

Although I'm not impressed with Blochs at all either.

I agree with BananaGurlBallet, GM's have very little if any support what so ever.
