I know some people would point out little things in the song that sort of stick out, for example a comment like, That Bass, or That Piano! But I just want to say: Man, that band!
the production on this recording gives us the mature Beatles sound Lennon's low piano ringo's side drum made to sound like foot stomping listen to Hello Good Bye it's there too..

@joemoe23 RIGHT!!!! THATS WHAT I ALWAYS SAY i say never has an album had so many types of different music in it, its like they did everything in here it doesnt follow one genre but it kicks ass!, i think this album was underrated... sure Abbey Road and Sgt Peppers was great but theres somthing about the White Album that just entices me ya know?
@TheSOADLIFE for me it's like this: if you had to show someone a Beatles album, it would probably be Abbey Road...but if you could only have one Beatles album, it has to be the White Album, for exactly the reason you said- everything there is to say about this band can be said on this album.
@thegazzamataz yeah its brilliant in it man :) seeing all the guitars that they actually played and all its amazing :) i found the imagine part very moving aswell the white room and the piano :) there was an elvis exibition on at the time also id never reaally listened to elvis or known much about him but it was really interesting to see the influence on them all, particularly john :) yeah it was great :)
@thehandylightman I didn't actually do the museum bit. I went on the magical mystery tour. Went round all the houses where they were brought up, places of note. Penny lane, strawberry fields etc and dropped of at the caveren club for good ole swally and watch a few live acts

When i get into a band, my goal is to convince the band to cover this song but extend the ending into a giant 10 minute jam session. you can tell i'm into prog rock lol
Is there a reason that all current copies of this song play the words ..."by the children...." through both headphones when on the original vinyl album that snippet only plays through one ear, as though he wasn't communicating with Manson, lol
I am not one of those that subscribe to the Paul is dead conspiracy but I think this is one of the songs that those conspiracy theorists use to make that point. The end where Paul sings"Can you take me back" I think is a reference to him being on the "other side" so to speak. I do find this song somewhat creepy though and it is underrated
@baxtersave96 The whole thing is all false, the so called "tape" of Harrison is DEFINATELY not his voice especially since that was the time the cancer was taking effect on his voice, which got really rough and not clear how it was on the so called paul is dead tape
@AnAverageBox I really don't know what you are talking about. I did not mention anything about George Harrison and I don't know what tape you are refering to. I was talking about the Paul is dead rumors.I'm not saying that I believe them I'm just saying that this is one the songs that is often refered to as a clue.
@baxtersave96 The Paul is dead conspiracy came from this movie company that made a film about these recorded tapes of "George" telling about the whole thing. It was all faked yet people take it seriously.
@baxtersave96 yeah, now that i think about it, the lyrics before the "can you take me back" part are about a seance! but then john says the voices were put on by the children for a lark, so maybe it means nothing at all. hmm.
The comments are great. But after the world comes to an end on Saturday let's all agree to shut the fuck up and help our fellow man. After all, no one gives a fuck what we say. It is what we do that makes a difference.
