  • I DONT GET WAT THESE HATE BETWEEN ARMANIANS AND TURKS IS. THAT GENOCIDE SHIT IS CIA AND FBI PLAN. STOP BEING SO STUPID

  • Why is this armenia worried about youtube being banned in Turkey? Armenians have this Turkish obsession, all the time they talk about this fake so called genocide and Turks, while Turks dont give a fuck about you

  • @TheVideoTurk lol the only people that were "worried" were the Turkish government who wanted the US government to hand the person who made the videos over to Turkey,so they banned youtube for their whole country because of ONE Armenian lol

SO let the people decide whos worried here lol

  • @TheVideoTurk

The Genocide was real. Don't believe your government's propaganda.

The term 'crimes against humanity' was first used to describe Turkey's genocidal attacks on Armenians.

Orhan Parmuk was charged with 'denigrating the Turkish identity' when he wrote of these massacres, Turkey only dropped the charges when its entry to the EU was threatened because of it's lack of freedom of speech.

The Youtube fiasco is another case of a government with low moral standards.

  • @Digdigs2

It wasnt a genocide, it was a relocation and a poorly organized deportation due to limited resources because our country was fighting against 7 different nations.

The reasn they got deportated is because they dreamed of Turkish eastern Anatolia they call western armenia, forgetting they lived peacefully under the Ottomans for the past 600 years. They killed Turkish villagers and farmers because the Sykes-Picot agreement promised them lands, and Turks lived in this "western armenia"

  • @Turkish2023 The forced marches were designed to kill people through exhaustion.

Sounds like your little history lesson there is a result of some serious propaganda and denial - have you heard of Trabzon?

  • @Digdigs2

The marches were designed to relocate the armenians from one province to another province within the empire. And it was poorly organized due to lack of resources because our country was fighting with 7 different nations.

Seems to me you are brainwashed by anti Turkish propaganda. U only talk about the consequence but not about the cause and reasons. The armenians massacred 500,000 Turks, they formed gangs and terrorized the Turkish villagers. Payback is such a bitch.

  • @Turkish2023 If Turkey is so innocent why do they resist all investigations - only the guilty hide...

  • @Digdigs2

Resist investigations?? Where have you been the last years?? It is Turkey who is proposing a joint research commitee to the Armenians. It is Turkey who opened all of its archives. Turkey asks Armenia to open their archives, why dont they open it? The answer of Armenia is: we do not want investigation because it will be an insult to all the dead armenians.

Why Armenia cant take us to international court? When they go, their bloody past will see the daylight too and they dont want it.

  • @Turkish2023 The ICC has no teeth, there is little point in taking Turkey to the ICC anyway as all the people involved are dead - there is no-one left to convict. The point here is that Turkey, like Germany and Australia have, should have the courage and decency to admit to the errors of the past - it is a large step in moving forward as a nation. I don't suggest that Germany or Aus are really that fantastic, but even these small gestures have a big impact on the general psyche of a population.

  • @Digdigs2

Again, you are still talking to me as if we committed a crime. It was not a crime. What was done to us was a crime, the armenians forming gangs and terrorizing the eastern provinces behind Russian lines is a crime. Payback is a bitch.

The Turks were convicted in the Matla tribunals, so why did they let Turks go? Why Armenia cant take us to court? The armenians should ask themselves why they are shouting genocide in the first place. They themselves do not even know

  • @Turkish2023 Looks like we disagree on the facts of what happened. The point here though is free speech - banning youtube (which you are using) because of comments critical of a government goes against Article 19 UN charter of human rights. Turkey needs to recognise this if they wish to be treated as and considered as a civilized nation. I differ in opinion to you as to what happened in 1915, but I defend to the end your right to express your opinion - Turkey should grant others that courtesy

  • @Digdigs2

Bernard Lewis got arrested in France for dennying the armenian genocide. You got arrested in England or Holland if you insult the queen, you get arrested in Europe if you deny or make a joke about the Holocaust, Hitler salute etc

Where is my freedom of speech in Europe? Europeans are really hypocrites, when it comes down to others, like making an insulting cartoon of the prophet of muslims, its freedom of speech. Provocations are unncessary.

But we'll see, this will have a rebound.

  • @Turkish2023 French court stated "by concealing elements contrary to his opinion, he neglected his duties of objectivity & prudence." ie While a historian may make any claim they wish as to the reasons for an event they cannot hide or invent facts - it is for this he was fined, his assertion as to the 'what', not his opinion as to the 'why'. They fined him 1 franc, about 10cents. Read the case it is interesting reading as to duties of those in positions of power & the right to free speech

  • @Turkish2023 As far as lese majeste laws in europe go - they follow the same legal path as libel - there are strict tests imposed as to what qualifies - mere opinion does not, but an assertion of erroneous fact does ie

My boss is a moron - OK - assertion of opinion

My boss is a whore - not OK - assertion of erroneous fact

Just replace 'boss' with king/queen and it becomes lese majeste, but only in the second instance.

Freedom of speech is thus maintained - one can opine as much as one wants.

  • @Digdigs2

Still u can get arrested if you deny the Holocaust or believing in Armenian lies, insulting the Dutch queen, there was a columnist from Telegraaf who got arrested 3 years ago.

Allowing the Danish cartoons and opressing my right to deny something is what Europe is about.

I wish I could make a Hitler salute, or deny the Holocaust, NOT because I deny it, but bcoz I have the right to do it.

Allowing the cartoons is just a provocation cowardly hiding behind "freedom of speech" argument

  • @Turkish2023 Did you not read the posts below? Freedom of speech exists within a framework - else it would be untenable... you can't shout 'fire' in a crowded theatre, you can't make up or deny certain FACTS, but you are free to interpret them as you wish. Unlike Turkey, where you can't say certian FACTS...

  • @Digdigs2

Yes I read your post, I dont understand the comparison with the crowded theatre. If you shout its public disorder.

In Turkey u cant approve the so called armenian genocide, in France u cant deny the so called genocide, yet nobody talks about France. We all know why they approve the so called genocide, the armenian lobbyists are behind it and the anti-Turkish sentiments in Europe. France should first condemn their genocide in Algeria before interfering with Turkish matters.

  • @Digdigs2 The Danish cartoons were tasteless and childish, and I and you both have the right to say so, but not to ban their production - that is in itself childish.

There are specific laws regulating the denial of a holocaust - one can say "I believe it was a good thing", but one cannot deny that the events took place.

  • That is just the nature of islam. poor turkey is screwed. they have chosen to travel down that road where islam is the main source of their laws. i have no sympathy for whatever happens to turkey now.

  • @chg777

We dont need your sympathy, Turkey was always muslim but our politcs and government will always be secular. The current government is losing in the polls, they will lose the elections in 2011.

  • Good on the Turkish government I say. The kemalists have had their day now the real Turks should govern and insulting videos created by the kemalists should rightly be banned.

  • 3/4/10 House panel approves Armenian genocide resolution The House Foreign Affairs Committee endorsed the resolution with a 23-22 vote Thursday, even though the Obama administration had urged Congress not to offend Turkey by approving it. The resolution now goes to the full House,...

Minutes after the vote, Turkey said it was recalling its ambassador from Washington..

LOOOL they got kicked out of youtube BY bourjhamoud and now kicked out of washington too lol

  • We Americans have been too often accused of being ignorant of other nations' and cultures' laws, mores and customs. It appears that the Turkish government is much too unaware of our Bill Of Rights.

  • Do not fret about the bill of rights which the US government tramples upon because as we all know that Constitution is a living document and not an ironclad contract which needs to be constantly reinterpreted by the high priests in black ropes. By all logic, the US should distance itself from the increasingly Islamic and anti-American Turkey, a land where human rights do not exist and the national sport is apparently forcible sodomy on males.

  • u sacrificed 3000 people of your "own" to ran into another country and start wars so pls just keep pointing your bloody oiled fingers to the so called evil nations like u always did thanks..

you know why they call it the american dream? because u have to be asleep to live it...

you amercians.... are saying that america is the best country in the world and keep saying god bless america in everey single political debate talking about ignoranz huh?

  • Democracys Close Call in Turkey.

  • Ankara public prosecutor Kursat Kayral has requested the identities of YouTube users, who insult Ataturk, Turkey and the country's flag from the United States Justice Ministry in order to launch an investigation into these users.

Those YouTube users determined to be living outside Turkey will be detained upon entering the country, pending the outcome of an inquest.
