  • The weird thing is (this is a great song) but I don't think it's the best song on the album "Cure for Pain" is just that great of an album!

  • From back in the day when MTV played music.

  • I'd abort children to have a voice like that.

  • Since I met the Devil I ain't been the same ...

  • poca onda el tipo.. nada mejor q morphine

  • Grande Sandman.. eterno

  • I remember when a friend of mine in college turned me on to these guys. I was like "where the fuck have I been?"

  • RIP sandman.

You're playing those crazy groves in heaven now.

  • mark sandman r.i.p....what a man...a legend...

  • buena buena buena buena good good good.. !

  • guztavo, Mark Sandman was not an addict. He was a middle-class guy with a college degree; after college, he pursued his dream of becoming a rock musician. Just thought you would like to know.

  • since i met the devil i aint been the same.

they simply raised the bar high!

una maravilla de banda , vieja!

  • ha ha ha ha ha. I just started listening to these guys and the first comment of the first song... "... now that's funny, I don't care who you are." sez Larry.

  • 'Scuse me, folks, but Mark was not an addict. Pretty bold assumption to make about someone, don't you think?

  • He unfortunately could been an addict, but he was also a genius, like Dana and Billy. The important thing is that this guys could transform their feeling into this amazing songs! - and blueprairiedog - I totally agree with you!

  • And who the hell cares if sandman was and addict? ..only sickmen and hipocrates talk about adictions or no adictions of the others ..look at yourself before talk!!!

  • du carai

  • Allways loved this song

  • love it

  • Respect for LEGENDS

  • AAAAAADOOOOORO!

  • Dunno why, but it's fucking awesome how the music and the video don't sync up except for 1:10 to 1:20.

  • Chillstem is an idiot. Dude, do think anyone here cares about your moronic opinion? Do you think we will somehow stop liking Morphine because of you? Do you think that we care if he was an addict? What does that have to do with liking his MUSIC? Do you have such a pathetic life that you need to come here and dis a band that we like? You sir are a genetic defective.......

  • GRAN DEMOSTRACION DE ARTE MINIMAL , descansa en paz , MARK SANDMAN !!!!!!!!!!

  • mira cabron ,try the sponge bob theme song so huele bichu

  • Chill and nite - be nice, or your parents won't let you have the computer anymore...

  • Love them or hate them, most artists want to draw interest from people. Those of us that love them, truly enjoy the music.the fact that the rest of you felt compelled to take the time to put them down just means Mark and co.got to you.suckers

  • AAAA ATAS :) SUpER BANDA :)DA i hren, gei ne gei kakaq raznica, glavnoe muzika KLASS.

  • You anti-Morphine guys are like complete fucking morons. You can't spell or even write a sentence that makes any sense. And you make fun of Sandman?

If you hate Morphine, why are you watching the videos? Why don't you just go back to watching Jerry Springer or whatever it is you inbred racist jerkoffs do.

And don't pray for me either you dumbass. If I want your help I'll ask for it.

  • dear sir , its come to my attention that you have some unwanted insults directed toward sandman and those of his ilk. well i am in agreement with the jolly goons bubblehead and stem cooker, first these two clowns love to stir it up.they patrol youtube looking for shitty music and drop a text bomb. not to worry ,because its my turn to share my humble opinion on this complete crap of an excuse of music i have heard . first its very simple ,these poor fellows cant play anything involved, JUNKIES

  • well Father bubble and Pastor chillstem will put you on our junkie outreach prayer line asap.we do know the pain you all feel when you lose a fellow shooter i.e.junkie ,as for watching this garbage ,i lost a bet and had to sit through this mindless crap.

  • The Best BAND!!!!!!!!

  • Mark Sandman was the sexiest musician alive. Sure wish he were here.

  • I love this song !

  • I really love this band. this guys 'r' great!!

  • very good band!

  • go back to madras india you tuban twisted #$%^^&&&

  • yOu ugly fat bastard

  • you dirty nigger gee. put that pipe down,, junkies suck the big one ..mophine sucks, and that is that , hey sandman, where are sticking that needle now bro. fucking schmeezer, I.E. JUNKIE BASTARD,

  • I love how you don't even know how to spell the word Morphine...as it's mentioned twice on the page (in the video, and at the damn top). So what if Mark Sandman did drugs. I bet your not a perfect person, but the thing is he created some of the most amazing music ever...what shit do you listen to rap? Fuck off and get a life buddy. He's missed by many, and your hated by more.

  • look at jaco pastorius for a real bass player YOU MISERIBLE JUNKIE,YOU CALL THIS AMAZING ,ITS FUCKING GARBAGE,,I COULD NEVER PLAY BETTER HIGH, CALL ME CABRON,7878234787. I AM SORRY, JUNKIES CANT AFFORD LONG DISTANCE CALLS,THE MONEY GOES STRAIGHT TO THE NEEDLE,so please go get fix and chill out and call dr.phill and tell him nobody understand junkie scum ,he,ll help you .

  • nite bnbnb these dudes sucked we know that but you dont have to rub it in, to all who like this trash ill pray for you

  • What's up with all the "nigger" and anti-rap talk? both you need to take your closet racism somewhere else. Morphine like all other modern pop music is heavily influenced by hip-hop and that so-called "nigger" music that you apparently hate. If you you dont like a certain type of music b/c it doesn't appeal to you, well maybe it WASN'T supposed to appeal to you. You have your perspective find what best appeals to those sentiments of yours.

  • I never said you weren't black. You feel an urge to let everyone know you hate your own culture. Also, why do you feel the need to name call. It's immature. Hopefully you will learn about the history of music and learn to love rap. bye.

  • Your an idiot...

  • You act like you listen to rap.

  • i am chillstem and you are misguided punk ,,, i agree with nitebubble these guys suck.. get a job dog.i dont like heroine attacts either

  • Morphine were one of the most unique bands to come out of the 90's. A 2 string slide bass, a guy that plays 2 saxes at once, and drummer who looks from a glee club. :) And Marc Sandman died of a heart attack ON STAGE! Who fricken rock and roll is that?!?!?

Morphine and the Pixies would be enough for any city, and yet so many more great bands are from there too.. must be something in the water...

  • I love the sax in this song

  • Real music on MTV... WTF?

  • haha yeah really

    its amazing xD

  • indeed,i'm astonished

  • Morphine is truly one of the most underrated and greatest bands ever. Tons of folks have never even heard of them, and yet I can't think of a single song that I don't love. They made a ton of music too. They rock! Yeah Morphine!

  • i live in boston and the fact that these guys came from here and i was to young to see them really sucks, but this whole album is and remains great!!! good stuff

  • the fact that MTV actually used to play stuff like this shows how seriously downhill that network has gone

  • Best band ever! Saw them at the Middle East in Cambridge many times.

  • i seen the horn player there(we drove from MI) and he opened for Amfibian and he played solo w/ loops/delays=really good!! hopefully he's still doing something. talented and nice guy

  • He's with Twinemen now, they've got some stuff here.

  • I don't know if I can name a single band from this decade that is in any way as good or talented as Morphine was.

  • love this song:x

  • 100/100 XD

  • Serious talent, R.I.P.

See, hersfoundation, on the web. One third of the female population/22 Million Women, in the U.S.A, have had a hystectomy, true. See the correct information, save a women today at, hersfoundation.

  • I really miss him too. Ciss from Italia

  • So good!

  • Brilliant song

  • the sax player/vocalist of semtazone recently reminded me of morphine...

  • My all time favorite band hands down. Such an original sound. I read that Mark was instrumental in the forming of the Presidents of the United States, he even turned them on to the 2 string slide bass and tritar; but thats another story.

  • amazing song, one of my favourite one.

    RIP,Marc

  • Freakin' gorgeous. Tracked this down after hearing it during an ep of the NBC series "Life." What staggering talent. RIP Sandman.

  • Miss him so much!

  • I think we all do. Amen to that. My God he was so talented, THE most original trio EVER!!!

The day he left us was so sad and I will always miss him. Who knows what more they had in store for their fans.

There will never be another man or band like this. And for those who are just hearing them now, your just catching on to one of the best kept secrets of the 90s music world

    R.I.P Mark....we miss you terribly :(

  • Fuck truck commercials.

  • They just don't make music like this for the masses anymore. You gotta go to little clubs and bars to hear this kind of quality now a days.

  • agree!

  • They were great, but Mark could never get the smack under control. He was a friend and will be missed.

Check out Jesus Everyday for some of the same Conway sax stuff... Treat Her Right was great before Champagne started wanting to front the band (before I went into the Army in the mid 80's, they opened for Boston on the Common, for those of you who remember those days).

    - Best.

  • He was your friend? Do tell. I loved that man, and never knew him. Such a gorgeous talent. I'll love and miss my Sandman forever!! And, yeah, I remember those days... thanks for the post, dude. You rock!

  • This guys where just great...

  • the raunchy sax is the best !!

  • Sorry Roland I have pressed a wrong button. I fully support your comment :)

  • Unique. Mark is deeply missed.

  • Noone has ever reproduced this sound ever. If anyone knows someone who did....lemme know.

  • nop. you're right

  • Awesome band!

  • Ca me file autant de frissons que la première fois. Amour éternel ?

Cette basse qui vrombit, ce groove...chupadiguidoowa...

  • love the raunchy sax

  • blues music as it best!!!

  • Soooooooo cooooooooool !!!!!!!!

    And I miss Mark......

  • God damn these guys were the best man!!! Why do all the best gotta die :(

  • 1:38/1:39 is pure heavy bass bliss.

    Genius.

  • RIP Mark, you are sorely missed

  • To all excellent Morphine fans; Please support, Nora Coffee, Hersfoundation, on the web. Sign the "Petition" and view the free educational DVD "Female Anatomy", the biggest best kept secret in the medical community must end. Peace to all, JTR

  • Morphine is the greatest band to grace the planet; with they're hypnotizing melodies mixed with passionate vocals they are not to be reckoned with!

  • LOVE MORPHINE!!! GIMME THAT SAX!!!

  • this band is addictive, no doubt. deep clear voice and perfect combination of sounds. it's impossible not to love this music.

  • All these guys made the band what it was, but the voice did alot.

Trios have the clarity as well. These guys are the shit. Unfortunately, the chapter of Morphine closed way too soon.

I miss you guys and your music.

  • weno

  • great stuff. I love this band. Too bad the singer/bass player/writer died.

  • love this song!

  • Qué canción más buena!! tio, este grupo se ha hecho imprescindible!

  • morphine!...is an addiction! (L)

  • Greeeeeeat band! very original

  • this is GOOD GOOD GOOD.

  • This song and this album will always be special to me. What a great band.

  • Bom...bom...bom... muito bom. Uma das minhas bandas preferidas! "Cure for Pain" é um dos melhores albuns que eu já ouvi.

  • GOD!This vid is amazing!:X..WOW!!!

  • Buena buena buena buena GOOD GOOD GOOD! Damn, I miss you, dude! Ain't no Morphine without you. Love this song!

  • like primus, but with a cato singer

  • what is asdfg6691

  • It is just the sequence of the first five letters you type with each finger of your left hand (plus 1966, inverted). Dumb, ain't it? What is fender7682? Don't need to answer - just kidding.

  • oh i thought it had something to do with the band because people were just typing in asdfg6691 and speaking spanish so i didnt know

  • Quem disse q eles nao tocaram no brasil??????

nao soh tocaram com fizeram show de graça

    procura melhor q vc axa

mas agora nao vai ter mais

    +++++ RIP Sandman +++++

Valeu.

  • I've read Sandman lived in Santa Teresa, Rio de Janeiro. Being a Brazilian myself, I can only regret the fact they never played down here... Anyway, Morphine is just what you need when you're thinking about music. No pun intended, sugar lovers. Best regards, Asdfg6691.

  • I'm not sure, but either this is or this is one of the greatest bands of all time.

  • Was

  • Is. The music doesn't change. Sandman's dead, but their music we still have. So yes, they still is a great band.

  • Dana, Alias Maynard7, has posted 5 or so vids here on youtube of his new band (Twinemen). Sorry still say was..Peace!

  • Listen: they is a great bad. They did make great music.

    See th difference?

  • i didn't know it. thanks for the info. no thanx for sadness

  • ok np

  • One of the best bands of the 90's. Mark is missed.

  • and they were AWESOME live!

  • Great Band! Too bad Mark is no longer with us. I am sure they would have made a bigger impact if not ...

  • that bari sax is amazing! i'd love to play in that band.

  • Is it bari? I think it might be a tenor.

  • No, thats definately a bari sax. Tenors only have a notch in the neck, i play tenor, a bari has that twist on it

  • Oh, okay. It sounded like a tenor to me, but you probably know a lot more than I do on this. My brother plays tenor, so I only know a few things I learned from him.

  • Thought Dana's trick was to play both similtaneosly

  • Love that saxophone and the base....it's such an awesome song :D

  • oh Mark-what could you have achieved by now?(RIP)

grab the cool while you can I guess-hope there's heaps in the can

  • Someone put this track on youtube with a stripper. I just had to find out who did the song. My first guess was Los Lobos but the vocals didn't sound like them. My reason was that the sax work sounds like Los Lobos saxman Steve Berlin. My second guess was Chris Isaccs the song sounds like his style of music. Great song, excellent dynamics, the sax and bluesy feel.

  • love that saxaphone!!!!

  • Morphines music is one and alone unique, love it.

  • The Sandman was the THE man. I am glad he left us so much.

    Lowrock on!

  • Awesome song...

  • saudaaade
