I agree with the 'americans waste their resources' comment. But I've traveled around the globe and every bar and pub I've been to had chilled their glasses with ice and water. Even in the most environmental countries like Norway and iceland. ;)

It seems like such a waste, though, because you could easily just put it in the fridge. The energy to required to make ice, & then dump it in the sink, seems to be a complete waste.
yeah i know. but you can find glasses that have this stuff in them and you can put those in teh freezer to freeze n it works the same as putting ice in the glass.
