you can get rebirth from the rebirth museum - it will come as combinator patches for reason4. you need to be a registered reason4 customer though. It doesn't have the rebirth interface obviously which is a shame

I'm not sure if this works in WINE on GNU/Linux, but that would be an entirely free way to run ReBirth on any x86 computer (pretty much anything except PowerPC macs which rebirth can run on in Classic) with at least 192 MB RAM.

Rebitch is great program, but what really puts my off to really work with it, is that all the buttons are SO DAMN SMALL! You really need to work at 800x600 so see anything... Really gay...

I see you got marked down for how you said it. But yes, you do speak the truth about how the program windows are locked into the (too small) VGA screen resolution. If only there were some hack to make the windows reasonably sized on modern computers without resizing the whole desktop. The fact that it needs the CD put in to work is also quite annoying.

Then again, you're getting this version for free. I guess if you want rid of the flaws, you'll have to buy Propellerhead's newer software.

for those of you who want to know how to get rebirth and how to install it on windows vista and macs' new o.s. first go to lime wire program and type in rebirth iso and down load to a file on your hard drive. next burn the program onto a cd. to run the program on vista, you have to goto microsoft website to download syteum 32 hlp x86 driver for vista. mac users will also have to goto apples website to download a driver for os 10.5.

maybe it's easyer to install vmware and install any windows into (win98 may run rebirth without issues) and then play from there, just a crazy idea..never tried..but don't expect low latency without external audio card ;)

I use VirtualBox, but that's like VMware, only free (you still have to buy windows). I think the only way now is to run it on Windows or Tiger (or earlier) on a PPC mac.

4. Watch and see some people committed to acid making tunes the real way.

I checked that video. The acid there was no better or worse than this guy's Rebirth jam session. If anything his was more dynamic; if there truly were two people "jamming" in your video (and not one on camera/one on gear) than that's even more disappointing for you.

Having the ridiculously priced vintage synths does not automatically afford you talent, "real" acid, or envy; as is obvious in your case.

This jam isn't promoted as the next big acid hit. Why the need to defend yourself?

nice work, ignore the haters man. Just got the free version myself and it's clear to me at least that you put some time in. It's pretty sweet once you get past the odd install. Got it patched into Live 7 sounds badass. One minor complaint is the interface is rather tiny, compared to Reason 4 modules even, but whatever it's all about the grooves and analog 808 909 treats.
