And yet when I see these young keen people my mind wanders to the back of an ambulance at three in the morning on a saturday night in liverpool and the image of a hard-nosed, cynical and weary face of a dispirited paramedic springs to mind. No-matter how keen and wellintentioned, they always turn out the same.
Im a junior paramedic student at Pennsylvania College of Technology, i was thinking about traveling abroad to do my senior capstone project on another EMS system, systems in UK that I should look into?
The videos I have posted show staff from Mersey Regional Ambulance Service NHS Trust undertaking internal training, run by Ambulance Service tutors.
LJMU may not include such training as part of their programme. LJMU is a separate organisation with its own Senior Lecturers who design and deliver their own curriculum.
Well if ya readmy original comment, I don't mention anything that compares this video to what I may study at Uni. I was mearly stating that I'm looking forward to it. It appears only you & I can make assumptions at this time as to what training is included in LJMU's curriculum.
I wiuld love to do that when I'm older. Medics have to know how to cut cars in case there are no firefighters available or the patiant needs immediat aid
No we don't! We have a crappy little toolbox with a spanner and a screwdriver and a couple of other stuff in. But most of it is either broken or someone has stolen it! Well, this is in England anyway!
Hi all, I have just joined the ambulance service as an ACA, and intend to move up as quickly as I can. All of the guys featured in this video should feel so proud. They look like a great team. Well done :)
This is a very "thick" video. =p

Ps, In year two of the degree, the course is split with part-time employment with Mersey RAS. Would they not be covering similar training as this?
