Ah! a young soldier leaving Bragg. I did this in a 1961 Oldsmobile F-85 with no A/C, driving non-stop to El Paso, June 1971. 26 hours of straight driving, no motels because I was off to Vietnam and didn't want to waste time... needed to see friends before going off to war. I was brain-dead when I got home... You drove on I-20 & I-10 like I did, 36 years later. If you pass through ABILENE, call me. This old soldier buys your lunch.
