  • I had this problem an hour ago, after changing my underwear and regaining my composure i just got a hairdryer and put it on full and pointed it at the screen from 2 feet away, did the trick. no suction cups, latex gloves or panic needed!!

  • is a fruit joke tolerable on this video

  • I've got it as well on left top side of screen, covering about a quarter of the screen. Had it for months and not gone away. Thinking about taking screen off and cleaning it.

  • @OhFookinELL put your display to never sleep for bout 5 hours

  • @lovely2626 Thanks for the tip. But I managed to have the guts to pull out the glass and cleaned it. Now it's looking like new!! :) Thanks once again.

  • @OhFookinELL awesome

  • i've had my 24 inch imac for 2 years now and i can say catergorically, this problem is not a one off and happens over and over again and worsens over time. i am an apple groupie and love their products and this is my second imac and third apple computer and i have had no hassles with the other 2 so this is UNIQUE to this model. mine is about to go back to the shop for a service ... so we will see what's the happs. if you're having hassles talk to me here ... don't ya just love the internet! :)

  • Hi I am Darthcaboose2321 and I do Mac Vs PC videos if you like MvP videos you should come check it out.

  • @LACK78:

    Did the issue go away?

  • I have the same problem on my NEW july 2010 model... i've left it on for several hours and its still not gone..... i've had it since september

  • you no u can remove the glass and clean it out with suction cups aha

  • @Lack78.

Don't you love being a fan an consumer of a piece of shit, over priced, under speced, supposedly best all in one machine.

Let's see, Imac Yellow tint issues, heating problems, cracked screen, flickering to name a few * pause *. Yet, you continously pay * too much * for newer versions? So don't fucking post these vidoes of products you continue to buy an bum lick pussy hole steve jobs an beileve every bullshit lie they tell you when the bottom line, Apple is a overly hyped shit company.

  • @GamingFreaksHD sssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhh

  • @GamingFreaksHD ssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh no one cares what youve got to say we like apple thats our choice and it doesnt really affect you. and if ya hate apple so much stop watching videos of them

  • Mine is MUCH worse. About 50% of the entire screen.

  • That condensation problem is a manufacturer issue! Condensation can form when the room temp changes and if the computer screen is not sealed properly! Same thing can happen in houses that have poor sealing around areas where temperature can change!

  • the glass is held on by magnets. It's possible that humidity could get in there. No reason to sit on the floor about it. Just go to the apple store, Dave, or the heat from leaving it on will make it go away. Can't get rid of water in the atmosphere. WE'D ALL DIE. *swoon* you're cute!

  • it works just leave it on...

  • imac has got glass over the screen then a little gap in between the screen and the glass, so what is happening is somehow the cold air has got through a gap somewhere on the imac and to the glass causing condensation just have the mac in a hotter place for a little while, this might fix the problem =)

  • Ahhh...Superman is destructable....u think Apple really cares....u are just one of the many mac goons.

  • damm u fucking people r thick, ranting n raving oh condo oh my mac is fucked!!!!!!!!......... the bid of plastic is held on by magnets on the edge, the most simple way to get it of is a sucker or some sticky tape (low ad)....just pull it off and wipe......god why dont people do think b4 posting vids!!!!!

  • absolutely right! but be careful not to rip off the magnets when you apply it back in the casing!

  • Throw it away.

  • i have a problem in the top left corner its about 2 inches big and its cloudy not condensation its cloudy i went to the apple store they said its the glass

  • I bought my iMac around the same sort of time as you I think actually (June '08) and have just started having a similar problem. I think it's due to me being away for the weekend. What ever became of this?

  • lol @ 1:58

  • Thankfully I don't have too much humidity here (Portugal).

I think you should leave the computer turned on for a few hours or even everyday (having the screen turn itself off when you're away).

If the computer is hot then all the moisture will evaporate upon entering the iMac and you won't have any more condensation inside it.

You could buy one of those machines that eliminate humidity from the air.

    Good luck.

  • Please type in Imac screen problems and Imac problems on youtube, and see all the problems and the comments of people having these problems !! its to bad :(

  • WHY is it that Mac people will never say, hey this is garbage! damn it when you pay over a grand for something, it needs to be perfect

Why are you so afraid rock the boat in your culture of mac buddys and say "they are not meeting quality standers and we need to speak up.

I had to return a new Imac cause it was freezing and kernel panics. they fought me and I said "make something that works again" and left.

  • I got it too! Not very happy with 15% of my screen fuzy.Bottom right corner looks like a snow drift

  • I had that problem, it was alot worse than that, i sent it back to get cleaned, they sent it back and now the lcd backlights are dead, so they have to replace the monitor, the condensation would happen each couple days

  • Put off the protection glass with a sucker, clean the LCD with a cloth, put the glass back and the problem is fixed.

  • I have the exact same problem mate! mine is bigger than yours! 1/8th of the screen of my right hand corner is all misted. nooooo 1:56 lmao.

  • it is al the high quality porno resulting in masturbation that results in us shooting much further all over the place. i am so glad I have solved all your problems and worries. Just a laugh bud. Have a nice day.

  • Ohh fucknips.

  • i have the same one and ive never experience this problem but ooohh it let me down my hard drive failed on me yup everything its gone but apple took care of it

    good vid

  • Aaargh! I have the same problem! Pretty much 2/3 of the screen was covered in condesation after a couple of weeks turned off. It hasn't returned since I got a dehumidifier for the computer room. Hopefully it won't happen again!

  • i got my new 20" inch imac and i have not had any issues yet with condensation !

  • the heat will make it evaporate

  • I had my imac 24" replaced 3 times now. It never went away. I'd looked more different then yours though. and was a lot larger. filled up almost half the screen. I just wish Apple would have some sort conclusion to this problem. Seems like this issue has been on for a long time now.

  • Well, I have this problem for quite some time now, like months to be acurate and I don't think it's just condensation, it might be that some very extreme heat is producing real damage on the screen... It won't wash away! It only tends to get worse!

  • i have these sorta light haze clouds in the lower right and left corners when i display certain images with black backgrounds. particularly if i'm watching vids full screen or movies. It's not huge but I notice it.

It didn't look like condensation but i'm not sure if it's normal or not

  • The same problem here. iMac 24" (3.06 GHz, 4GB RAM, 500GB HD). These days have been colder and moisty and a bronwnish dust-like stains have appeared in the lower edge of the screen. This first happened a copule of days ago and decided to turn off the machine. Crossing my fingers I have turned the computer on again and the stains have returned. Not sure what to do, very frustrating.

    Chepe. Ensenada, Mx.

  • Remove the surface of glass from the screen of the iMac and you might be able to simply wipe it off.

  • I have the exact same problem in the exact same place on the monitor!!! I have left it on and the condensation has NOT gone away!!! I'll call them...

  • Just ordered iMac 24" myself (3.06Ghz, 4GB, 500GB storage), and seeing this video makes me kind of concerned. But you say in your comment it'll go away like Apple told you?

Anyway, thanks for the videos! Liked the unboxing video, and subscribed ;).

  • I just got a 24 inch imac today and within 45 minutes of booting it up i had the exact problem. Took it back to the store imediatly and got a new one, and now its on this one too. Im going to speak with the best buy apple rep tomorrow and find out what the hell is going on

  • Hey Neo2005. After some research & reassurance from apple I'm confident the problem will not arise again nor cause damage or device / component failure. If it occurs simply leave the mac on until the heat of the display vaporizes the condensation. Many people freak out & think their imac's are going to catch fire. So they complain to apple & end up waiting weeks for a replacement imac that they dont need. When in fact if they had been patient the problem would have righted itself. Best of luck

  • I hope your right my friend.

Its gone now, but it still leaves me with a small worry. But thats why i got the 3 year warranty.

  • Hey so is it ok now? I'm going to get one soon.

  • Thank you for posting this. Please keep us informed.

  • Looks like Apple Care would be a great idea.

  • That is such a wierd occurence. Maybe it is something to do with humidity.

  • Its very sad to have some condensation issues in a supercool machine. Apple should take it seriously asap. Imacs r really really awesome.....

  • Seems to me that looks like a monitor problem not condensation IMO...... i would take that in for apple to look at.....:)

  • My cousin had the same issue, he turned it off for a day, and it went away and hasn't returned since. You are right though, condensation and electronics do not go well together, lol.
