Dude, I totally agree with your point about the common misconception that, asian boys are meant to be back in China, "hanging out with their own kind". I'm already engaged, but if I wasn't, I would totally be interested in you, even just by watching your videos. You have a bubbly personality (which is underrated, I should know xD), you play the violin well (which means you're a hard worker), you're not afraid to be yourself (saying you're a nerd and that you're a LTDS guy, btw I'm a bigger nerd than you :p), you're humble, sincere, honest and ambitious. I was also intrigued by your mentioning of the stigma that girls don't like Asians. I always was more confronted by the stigma that Asians guys don't like other ethnicities or that they are constrained by their traditional endogamy.

the drop thing is easy ... just make a circle like ben chan did ... and use your toungue to push air in and out ... so while u pushing the air with your tounge tap your cheek with a pencil or finger or flick it ... yea i love doing that at skool ... did it on alot of times during exam and just break the silent !
dang! now i have another sound i need to learn, the drop right after i learn how to horse whistle. do you actually flick your cheek? i tried doing it but my cheek is now a bit sore.. haha!

I'm a CBA (chinese born american) and I'm currently dating a non-chinese girl. I don't think it matters what race you are or what background you have, the most important thing is that you are confident and know what you want. Girls like it when you can make them laugh. Ben, i think #5 is an epidemic to us violinists and any other musicians!!! lol! Someone outrightly said to me that the reason they never tried dating me because they got too intimidated with me and with my abilities. So, idk if being a good musician is really a good thing or a curse!! j/k i know alot of musician friends who are nerdy and single, too! So, welcome to the club!!! Dude, I totally agree with your point about the common misconception that, asian boys are meant to be back in China, "hanging out with their own kind". I'm in the UK, but I still get that kind of "feedback" if you know what I mean, and am totally sympathetic and understanding towards that. I'm already engaged, but if I wasn't, I would totally be interested in you, even just by watching your videos. You have a bubbly personality (which is underrated, I should know xD), you play the violin well (which means you're a hard worker), you're not afraid to be yourself (saying you're a nerd and that you're a LTDS guy, btw I'm a bigger nerd than you :p), you're humble, sincere, honest and ambitious. The best relationships are at times with those you know as friends and eventually blossoms. You just need to be a little more self confident and approachable in a relationship capacity. I also have a similar situation, I get along with everyone but truly opening up like to a girlfriend/boyfriend takes nerve because if you want it to be meaningful you have to be honest and open yourself up more profoundly than with friends.Putting yourself out there like that can be intimidating but is necessary

Yea I don't know what the deal with peoples' big thing against asian guys is. I have this friend Kevin who no bs can also do that drop thing. Here's a problem you might be having with women. You look (first impression) like you don't stand out in any way, even though everyone here knows you do. I mean think about it black regular shirt didn't see pants but I'm gonna assume khakis/jeans. 4) You're Mormon, so being 26 and not having 3 children yet is probably disconcerting in comparison to your peers. But if you look at other 26 year olds in Boston, NYC, Wash DC, San Fran and LA, you're in the majority. Enjoy the freedom.

the drop thing is easy ... just make a circle like ben chan did ... and use your toungue to push air in and out ... so while u pushing the air with your tounge tap your cheek with a pencil or finger or flick it ... yea i love doing that at skool ... did it on alot of times during exam and just break the silent !

aaahhh!!! i can do the drop too!!! =D its so fun! lol. my parents used to find it so annoying on the long car drives. haha. anyway, about the fact 5, you dont have to change to find someone just kinda adjust to the people you like. approach them inrtoduce get to know each other, and maybe if you like them and feel more comfortable about it, ask them out on a group date or something. haha. just relax and dont be jumping into things too fast. haha. if you need more just ask ok? haha. hope i helped

I won't tolerate comments as mean-spirited as that because it's insulting to both sexual orientations. I'll have you know I'm straight, but I also don't think gays appreciate it when you use that word so indiscriminately. I'm a CBA (chinese born american) and I'm currently dating a non-chinese girl. I don't think it matters what race you are or what background you have, the most important thing is that you are confident and know what you want. Girls like it when you can make them laugh. Don't be too nice, that will just lead you to a friendship only zone. Anyway, I don't know too much about what I'm talking about, so take what you want out of it.

I can't help but comment on your last point. I'm a girl your age who clicked on this channel thinking "wow, a hot guy playing the violin" -- not sure if this helps in any way but you're clearly talented, articulate, and absolutely attractive. Continue to be picky. Just be sure to surround yourself with LOTS of other smart, talented people because you're more likely to meet someone great when you're doing something you both are passionate about.
