@mswoonc Or maybe you're just a chauvinist who has not even had a faint idea of the tradition, and history, of the SEALs. There's a reason why women are not allowed in to the SEALs, tradition and history is not one of them.
@StripesReaper Learn again buddy. Ask any SEAL if they agree woman going for the SEAL Teams.. Not one SEAL will agree. The word "brotherhood" is essential in the SEALs and none of them are willing to give that up. So sir.... you don't have the slight idea.
@mswoonc Jesus Christ, tradition and history have nothing to do with women not being allowed inside of the NSW. It's the fact that the society does not like the idea of having the women tortured, like during SERE for example, as well as women would have trouble with the physical side of BUD/S.
@StripesReaper Actually it DOES MATTER.. ask any SEAL... they will agree they will never want a woman in the SEALs, the proud tradition that the men build, its a bond that they dont want a woman to break. The place I work currently don't even allow girls to lift heavy stuff, worry about that shit and try to make a fair ground for the male employees before you go into the SOF shit...
@mswoonc Quite a bold statement you made there that no SEAL would ever agree to allowing a woman go through BUD/S. I doubt it's really about allowing but being incapable of lifting heavy stuff due to lack of physical strength, but if what you claim is really true, then I'm quite confidient that's some sort of a violation of rights. There is no tradition or historical reasons, there are only purely physical reasons and weak ethical reasons.
@mswoonc@StripesReaper I'm in training for the NSW SWCC units and prior to leaving to boot camp, I trained with some very capable, strong, and confident women who were training for AIRR. When asked why women can't be SEALs or SWCCs, it's not a question of mental or physical strength, but rather a question of natural processes. A woman cannot be stuck out on missions for days or weeks on end during her menstruation period. Inattention would cause infection-- not ideal for the job.
@mswoonc @StripesReaper Let me also say that I would gladly have some of those women fight beside me if I could. They were some of the most mentally strong individuals I've known. I could count on them to pull me out if injured or save any one of my other guys.
thats a lot of fuckin firepower.
