The requirement in Islam for sisters is that the hair must be covered, not the face. I don't know why this is such an issue -- in the U.S. it was traditional (50's and 60's)for women to cover their hair with a scarf and their hands with gloves. In previous years a woman would never go out with her hair down and without a bonnet. So why is the hijab such an issue?

true... If you look at early century even in Britain and other civilizations, women never used to go out without scarf and full body covered.

Exactly. The way the "west" has women dressing now is disgusting, and I don't know why they would disrespect themselves in that way. The world would be in an uproar if men went around (normal men anyway) with everything showing and hanging out. Sorry if that was a bit to graphic.

Assalamu alaykum brother. Nice video. I would like to tell everybody that hijab is not burkah because so many confuse the two. Everybody should visit thehijabshop(dot)com and see the beauty and elegance of the hijab. My sisters, wear you hijab with pride. Sorry, but I do not have the same respect for a sister without hijab as I do for a sister with hijab -- the hijab is required in Islam. Period.

Assalamu alaykum brother, and thank you for the video. Modesty should apply to all women everywhere, and no sister should ever put herself on display. I have no respect for any woman who shows everything like a whore, I have great respect for a sister in hijab because she shows respect for herself and for Islam. Really, I don't know why this is an issue because at one time it was normal in all societies for women to have respect for themselves.

it is about queens of Islam. Woman in Islam is protected with hijab that Allah has made obligatory for them. No matter how modern, civilized or cultured one society could be, hijab has its own dignity, its own purity and everlasting reward. Just to encourage more hijab and to enlighten the ideology that woman looks pure and beatiful only in hijab.

Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.). That is purer for them. Verily, Allâh is All-Aware of what they do.
