The guys that clean the streets in some of the housing schemes in glasgow are like hard as nails cos they work alone, and they must be able to look after themselfs, In niddrie i would be asking for stab vests and a shotgun.

Yeah that was me in the shorts lol. I always wondered why there was a square (ish) camera coming from the middle floor of the flat overlooking the tunnel. Ha now ya know. classic.  my dads family were from Niddrie - McKinlays. I've heard all sorts of stories about the tunnel. My dad (David) and uncle (Jim - James) and brother who still lives in Edinburgh, Billy) I think they had the tunnel covered in the 50s.

there were always a couple of "Del Boys" on the estate and it is funny to see them in action.
