  • Put that salad through a powerful twin auger juicer, and eat the pulp with the juice. Its the same as if you used your teeth/mouth, but much faster.

  • I love the logic and message behind 811...but having to eat a bucket like this seems just as extreme as the paleo diet

  • The kids sound just as hyperactive as those at McD. No wonder -- they too lack DHA, B-vitamins, zinc, etc. etc.

    You wouldn't be the first vegan parent who had the kids taken away for malnutrition.

  • Ok first things first... My sex drive is the same but my sensitivity is greater so therefore she isnt liking it cause I dont last. My taste and smell has improved much. difficult to maintain diet due to emotional reliance on fatty foods which quench anxiety. Lots of energy but hyperactivity and stupid immaturity shows = embarrassing. Diet very expensive and really not worth the cost. Would like to be able to afford it though but would be selfish to my wifes needs in life also. Her getting less.

  • good stuff. i was reading recently that if you cook foods at a certain temperature (over 100 degrees F or so) you not only lose vitamins and minerals, but also enzymes. i've decided to use a variation of the 80-10-10 diet - planning to keep steaming some foods, and add some boiled eggs and full-fat dairy products (which seem to boost metabolism).

  • Thats a big f-ing salad. Don't you get a bit tired of eating so much of the same? I would think it's a little bland. Fruit I can understand but salad hmm. What's in it by the way?

  • How on earth can you fit that in your stomach? that is a monster! congrats to you for being able to consume that much but doesn't it completely stretch your stomach or are you use to it by now? I mean most people would appear ready to give birth by the end of that...if they even got that far.

  • @Mongodelight We each have a genetically determined strength to mass ratio. We can train to get stronger without getting bigger to some extent, but eventually we must get bigger to get stronger. Some people are thin yet strong without ever working out, some are muscular yet relatively weak. Even Lee had a wide bodyweight variance according to the type of training he was doing: Usuaily 135-147, he'd bulk up to 165 lifting heavy & shrink to 128 when not training, a 37 lb difference, all muscle.

  • When you say heads do you mean leaf like a leaf of lettuce or the whole head (whole bunch) of lettuce ? What ever happened to less is more ? What do you think of Wheat grass juice ? Its like eating 1 pound of veggies apparently.

  • @axls Juice doesn't comply w/ "Whole" in "Whole, Fresh, Raw, Organic". Juicing -is- processing. 2/ Wheat grass -must- be juiced. It's not a true food: It -can't- be eaten whole. 3/ Wheat grass is a supplement. If you require it for health, your diet is lacking. 4/ w/Processed food, you must replace removed elements w/other sources, usually inferior: Dried fruit? You'll need water to drink, usually not as clean as water in fruit. Juice? You'll need to add fiber. Better to keep both in one.

    if you think juicing is processing then I assume you swallow all your food whole because you'd probably call chewing food "processing" as well. A juicer is just like teeth... it extracts the juice for you. And wheat grass can be eaten whole. It just has to be chewed thoroughly to extract the juice. You don't know what you are talking about.

  • I don't spit out solids, a juicer does, I swallow it all: Proper proportions of synergistic nutrition. I absorb the juice virtually immediately, it won't oxidize for even a moment. Juice isn't whole food. Fruit juices are virtually sugar. Wheat grass isn't whole food: Only the juice's edible. If you have the patience to chew & spit enough wheat grass to consume a couple of ozs of juice a day, you're an exception. Nonetheless, your post was intelligent. Why'd you end w/a personal .attack?

  • I eat this salad in addition to organic fruit all throughout the day. I have a monster salad for dinner, which is what I was making in this video. I just ran a personal record 2:31 marathon in NYC eating 80/10/10 for the last 11 months, it works!

  • you will experience a loss of your extra weight, balanced to your daily activities. That means if you're sedentary obese, you will get skinny, you don't use muscles. But if you do some training, you will gain muscles. Fat is unnatural, muscles is!

  • @marnstein Graham also recommends giving the body a lot of "time off" between meals. I'm not sure what you mean by :" ...All throughout the day".

  • that's fair enough, but do u eat fruit for like 2 weeks straight after that to even it out a bit? or are u doing 80-10-10 with just greens and low sugar fruits?

  • Interesting. What did you put in your salad, and how long does it last you?

  • 10 heads of shredded kale or spinach, 15 chopped red,yellow peppers, 15 large chopped tomatoes, 15 fresh squeezed valencia oranges and 5 limes - everything organic of course. I eat that tub of salad in 1 1/2 days (2-3 sittings)

    2:31 is awesome. I'm shooting for a humble 2:47 or better by next year.
