Two minutes for roughing yes simply because it was a high hit but a cheap shot? NO! When I grew up playing hockey which wasn't that long ago you never, ever, ever admired your pass because this is what happens! If you got caught with your head down everyone made sure you were alright and then said idiot keep your head up next time! Now I could skate all around the ice with my head down and if anyone hit me it would be their fault! Ridiculous!

@ilovechicken5 i agree with you because i had the same thing, however, with the amount of concussions people were getting it's now a rule
hits can't be over the shoulders. it was a clear hit to the head, which if he moved his arm out in the slightest to make sure he got the hit, it's no longer roughing but an intent to injure penalty and a mach penalty which is a double minor and game misconduct, rypien shouldn't have had his head down but eager got off really lucky.

I love all the people on here Saying that if the two fought that rypien would kick Eager's ass. Then it happened and Rypien lost. So great. I can't say I have really seen the Nucks win to many fights against the hawks. Not in the last couple years anyway.

Im a die hard Hawks fan, and Ben eager if given less of a goon role, would be pretty good. The guy has a ton of skill. Personally, fighting is not his strong suite, nor is he a very good hitter. But as far as skill, he's pretty decent, Hawks just need him to be a tough guy BC there arent really any on the team.

Ben Eager isn't a very good fighter to begin with. But I do agree, Rypien is hands down one of the best pound for pound fighters in the league.
Although his last like... 4-6 fights, haven't all that impressive.
