Theory, in the scientific sense, does not mean to any degree guessing. A theory is an explanation of something; it's not quite a law as laws make predictions but there is still no less solidity to a theory as a scientific explanation so don't try and twist things to your end. And there's no way I would simply accept something just because a scientist said so. If something is shown to be testable and falsifiable and can stand up to peer review then it might be worthy of consideration.

Fossils are actually a very nice, tangible way of proving what evolution predicts. Often when a new fossilised species is found it has been predicted by evolutionary theory. DNA shows that all species are related which is something else that evolution predicts. Something from nothing? Huh? That has nothing to do with evolution and is only something that religion claims is possible. If you are referring to the Big Bang then no part of that theory says that something comes from nothing.

The origin of life is not the same thing as evolution. Evolution explains the diversity of life on the planet, not where it came from. the origin of life would explain how the mechanism came to be. if you can prove that everything was created from nothing would prove evolution. every living organism has a life cycle. rationale would then say that since life has a definite beginning and an end, all forms of life also have a beginning and an end. so how could life be explained in natural terms when there must be a point of origin. the first single life form... would have to come from nothing. the end. there is no logic in this.

Thank you very much, the Requiem was definitely Mozart style, but it wasn't K 626. As for my ear, I do have absolute pitch as absolute as it gets, to the point where I am more accurate than my tuner. However, there is a tradeoff, such as when I pass construction and someone has a band saw that's going at f, and someone has a jackhammer that's at c#, but it's slightly flat - drives me crazy. Why can't they tune their tools? nearly as annoying as Jehovah's Witnesses.

Also, I don't claim a book to be PROOF that God exist, it is simply our holy book, which has guidelines we choose to follow. It is a man-made book, and its origins are, lets just say, debatable. I've read documentation from all sides, and researched to my fill, but I don't know everything, and neiter does anyone else.

It could well have been Creationist but at the time I made this video I was having a couple of debates that kept going round in circles with some Christians who kept claiming that the Bible was proof of God's existence. We weren't specifically discussing Creation at the time which is why I included the disclaimer in the description. I do want to make a similarly funny video directed specifically at the Creationists at some point in the near future when time allows.
I would have loved to hear their arguments. It is hard to understand how any sane Christian (or person for that matter) can go from "the Bible as the word of God" to "the Bible is proof of God's existence." Now I understand the context of your video more clearly.

Well the argument was the classic circular reasoning - God is infallible, the Bible is God's word, therefore the Bible is true and God must exist cos it says so in the Bible. I wasn't trying to convert them just to get them to appreciate that their logic was fallacious. They ended up either swearing at me or pitying me and saying they would pray for me. I got sick of it and since then have rarely debated theists.
Once a coworker had said that everyone believes in God. The interpretation that will be presented is that everyone believes is something that they can not fathom or fully understand.

Theory, in the scientific sense, does not mean to any degree guessing. A theory is an explanation of something; it's not quite a law as laws make predictions but there is still no less solidity to a theory as a scientific explanation so don't try and twist things to your end. And there's no way I would simply accept something just because a scientist said so. If something is shown to be testable and falsifiable and can stand up to peer review then it might be worthy of consideration.

Fossils are actually a very nice, tangible way of proving what evolution predicts. Often when a new fossilised species is found it has been predicted by evolutionary theory. DNA shows that all species are related which is something else that evolution predicts. Something from nothing? Huh? That has nothing to do with evolution and is only something that religion claims is possible. If you are referring to the Big Bang then no part of that theory says that something comes from nothing.

the origin of life would explain how the mechanism came to be. if you can prove that everything was created from nothing would prove evolution. every living organism has a life cycle. rationale would then say that since life has a definite beginning and an end, all forms of life also have a beginning and an end. so how could life be explained in natural terms when there must be a point of origin. the first single life form... would have to come from nothing. the end. there is no logic in this.

Thank you very much, the Requiem was definitely Mozart style, but it wasn't K 626. As for my ear, I do have absolute pitch as absolute as it gets, to the point where I am more accurate than my tuner. However, there is a tradeoff, such as when I pass construction and someone has a band saw that's going at f, and someone has a jackhammer that's at c#, but it's slightly flat - drives me crazy. Why can't they tune their tools? nearly as annoying as Jehovah's Witnesses.

A creationist will always 'win the debate' simply because of the unfair amount of knowledge a Atheist is expected to have
You would expect us to be able to explain all fields of science completely and utterly

It should have been debating creationist. Most Christians have no problem with evolution and their religious views.
One thing that I have learned, is that you will not change their minds. I have tried to see their side of the argument, but always encounter logical fallacies.

It could well have been Creationist but at the time I made this video I was having a couple of debates that kept going round in circles with some Christians who kept claiming that the Bible was proof of God's existence. We weren't specifically discussing Creation at the time which is why I included the disclaimer in the description. I do want to make a similarly funny video directed specifically at the Creationists at some point in the near future when time allows.

I would have loved to hear their arguments. It is hard to understand how any sane Christian (or person for that matter) can go from "the Bible as the word of God" to "the Bible is proof of God's existence." Now I understand the context of your video more clearly.

Well the argument was the classic circular reasoning - God is infallible, the Bible is God's word, therefore the Bible is true and God must exist cos it says so in the Bible. I wasn't trying to convert them just to get them to appreciate that their logic was fallacious. They ended up either swearing at me or pitying me and saying they would pray for me. I got sick of it and since then have rarely debated theists.

Yes, I do see the logical error they made.
Once a coworker had said that everyone believes in God. The interpretation that will be presented is that everyone believes is something that they can not fathom or fully understand.
A real great analogy is Flatland. When a finger is placed through Flatland, all that is seen are a changing circle.
There are things we don't understand, but we should never stop trying.

Looking at the evidance, behaviour of Governments, as well as elite businessmen and then putting it in a context of them having "power" from the form of money. Ths can cause pyscosis. So these people are basicaly megolomaniacs. I mean America is fighting constant war because it is profitable of these elite businessmen. the government tells you the towers fell because of Fire that melted the steel so that the floors collapsed on each other. they fell at free fall speed (10 sec). this means that the floors shattered on the average rate of 10 floors per second. it does not make any sense.

And in response to your other comment, tell me how it doesn't make sense. NORAD would have been caught off guard and entirely confused about what just happened. Terrorists don't usually hijack 747s and fly them into american landmarks.
And for the christian thing, it's the parents who bring the children up christian and pressure them to keep it that way. Not the government.

How long ago were the Crusades? Hundreds of years ago! AND the purpose of the crusades was to capture ONE 'holy city' that had basically no strategic value or any value for that matter other than for their beliefs.
And I am looking at what's happening in Iraq. Soldiers are over there because that is where they're assigned. The army also pays well and some men just have an urge to fight. The only people which are using religion as a means of controlling minds are all the sick terrorist groups.

No it wouldn't. Steel doesn't need to completly melt to collapse, it just lost it's strength, therefore collapsing. The weight of the top of the tower completely crushed the lower floors so quickly as it collapsed.
As for NORAD, there were only 14 active jet fighters in the 48 states of the mainland. They didn't have an automatic alarm system for this type of thing as well. NORAD had to be dialed by phone to be informed. The hijackers also turned the plane's identifyers off.

if the floors gave way because of molten steel, then the central core of the towers should have been still up right and very visible. But instead, the core has been completely demolished almost as though via controlled demolition

The reason why there are so many damn christians in the US is because the majority of the population come from Christian backgrounds. The more christians in the area, the more pressure it is to be a christian.
The US government however, doesn't let religion influence school life. I know a person from California and she says they're not even allowed to use the word 'God' in the pledge of Alligance at school.

also the removal of "God" in the pledge of Allegiance is a recent act. As a citizen of California in Los Angeles i remember pledging under God almost every day in elementary to junior high.
America is not founded on Christianity. But Christianity benefits the government with parallel beliefs on laws and obedience. The government lays out the rules, Christianity makes sure the people follow the rules through psychological fear tactics.
Its clear why they'd use it to guide a nation.

Levels of Atheism are dramatically increasing in the U.S. This is probably the result of all those GOVERNMENT laws prohibiting the use of religion in schools.
So many new laws have been introduced in the last few years to give people the freedom to believe in what they want.

Well, many religious people talk about the failings happening in America due to the fact that religion was taken out of school. I am for that rule, religion is at the home, between the parents and child. Religion is a personal matter, not a governmental one. School is just an excuse, so the true failing is at the home, the upbringing. Then again, the child will eventually figure for themselves whether they'll believe or not. That is the human condition.

It makes no sense that they would let a few stupid students just ruin their whole plot to kill innocent citizens. The students uploaded it to servers in the US. Youtube is based in the US.

Christianity is a very powerful psychological tool. Once they have u believing in one aspect you'd have to believe everything else. Once they have the emotional hold on you it would be difficult to let go.
U would then never think outside the scriptures for it is the "Truth". Thinking outside the Bible would be the most blasphemous thing u can do and anyone who thinks otherwise is of "evil" intent, leading u to hell.
I know this, I was raised strictly under Baptist Christianity for 12 years.

Of course it's not from god God isn't real. It's a bit like scientology. The creators of the religion introduced new techniques and things to suck people into the religion and keep them in it.
