  • Ireland had it's last Eurpvision win that year!! Viva Emer Quinn!!!

  • Supposedly Gina G lost loads of money on this record despite it being a massive hit in the UK. Poor contracts FTL

  • Loving the old CRT massive monitors!

  • Remember wondering how she never won , as terry wogan said first class performance and an excellant production of a great song !

  • Just a little bit off key, by my ear.

  • The girl in the green dress is gorgeous <3

  • @Duststorm81 Girl in the pink dress does it for me ...

  • FUCKING CHILDHOOOOOOD! :')

  • Cant believe i've met her and gone for a smoke with her! simply awesome

  • @LostCause1431 marijuana?

  • ONE OF THE BEST ENTRIES....EVER! 12+12 POINTS FROM GREECE TO THE UK!!!

  • @trikalagreece What a shame you're 16 years too late. Where were you when we needed you? ;-)

  • my dad is the biggest fan of Gina G she is awesome in every way

  • Never knew this was a eurovision song :o

  • wonder what she looks like today

  • united kingdom and ireland rule !!!!

  • eurision is not worthy of this song

  • Brilliant dress, incredibly sexy!

  • who won this year anyway? ireland... again

  • for once, a song that isnt fucking bubblegum

  • I wish my legs looked that good. Lol. Girl must gym it up alot. >_<

  • This song was to good to be on eurovision

  • Gina G used to phone me up when she was upset.

  • Travesty this song didn't win. It blew away every other song in the competition in terms of record sales around the World, and it still beats the winner by a mile in terms of air play, even in that country's own stations! Gina G was brilliant. Even her dancers were the best in the competition.

  • umeå läkare fl

  • omg i havnt rofld this much in time

  • ROFL! Awesome!! I put thumbs up xD

  • WOW! That was awesome :)

  • awesome, awesome

  • LOOK AWESOME!

  • lol i enjoy this video

  • hmmm nice

  • liked, faved, subbed... :) yourwelcome

  • Really enjoyed it!

  • like a charm

  • OK... I am 18 years old, means I was 3 in 1996... And I have been singing this song ever since! And I haven't even heard it since 1996...

  • should av won easily! and t only international hit of t contest that year!

  • I like everything before 2004, the winning performances could sing live at least. Nowadays, people just vote cuz they have heard the prerecorded versions where they manipulate the song with computers until it sounds good.

Winner of 2011 wasn't good, but then again, none of them were great so I gues the least suckiest won :D

  • Thumbs up if never mind the buzzcocks didnt bring you here

  • I want to marry Gina G.

  • I had this on tape when I was really young I used to play it over and over again! What a tune not heard it for ages!

  • hahaha :D look at the computers :D

  • One of the better UK entries.

  • Should have won - deffers !!

  • I didn't know this song is a Eurovision entry!

  • @eurovisionmgp Me neither, until today :)

  • the best song you can listen to while driving.

  • I forgot this song existed, but when I heard it again I knew all the notes and the words. how could i forget lol

  • I forgot this song existed, but when I heard it again I knew all the notes and the words

  • By far the best song that year, shoulda won by a mile - note also it still got to number one in UK despite it's poor Eurovision placing - she was truly robbed

  • @identlover number one on my birthday :D 25th May 1996

  • Kathrin suckau

  • is this a tranny???

  • Gina G has a new single just released and out on Itunes now called Next 2 U go buy it and download and show ur love for Gina its an awesome track.

  • When she refers to the girls, does that mean she's a lesbian?

  • Is it just me or does Gina look about 45 in this performance? She also looks really nervous. I loved this song at the time.

  • good Eurovision times ..one of the best eurodance 90's

  • Bendita década la de los 90

  • Está canción sono muchísimo en las listas de éxitos de España por aquellos años, que recuerdos...

This song was in the Spanish list in the 90`s, beautiful remix

  • Should have won by a mile.

  • @TheArsebiscuits

Over 'the voice'? ya gotta be kidding me!

  • @Orlabobz No, you twerp.

  • @TheArsebiscuits

Getting all hard man on a youtube page about a 90's pop eurovision act...... smooth.

And I do like the song, nice and catchy, but it's not nearly as good as the voice.. and it was proven by the fact that it did win.

  • @Orlabobz If you are hearing voices sir, that is between you and your mistress.

  • @TheArsebiscuits

now 1920's aristocracy and upper class... what a wide range of persona's you are displaying. that said, jeeves would never permit his master to have a mistress.

  • @TheArsebiscuits, I think the same! Best song in that year!

  • this song is great,so fucking great,1996 rules,I was 6 then lol

  • I love the fact that their massive computer monitors are off. HAHA!

  • happy hapyy times :DD

  • G A Y at the astoria london she sang this back in the day . now its going to be a new billion pound tube station .

  • @36reasons Ahhh! Happy Days! Can't believe it's gone...

  • @36reasons

Ah! The Astoria! - may it rest in peace. Saturday nights are just not the same.

  • @jamchip03 televoting was only introduced because Ireland won it 4 times in 5 years.

  • @jaradoref

That was indeed a large contributing factor but the EBU also say the HUGE difference in record sales between "Ooh Ahh" and the winning song "The Voice" around Europe and began to see that what the public liked and what the jury liked were sometimes 2 different things.

  • this should have won it...great song.

  • 1996 and waaaay ahead of its time. How did this not win? And how did Ireland win with that riverdance-eque monstrosity?

    We will never know :)

  • GOD I FEEL SO GOOD!

  • American idiot got nothing on eurovisition song contest

  • I fucking love how she says "Hey Girls". So fucking cute.

  • of course GB wont win with a song with someone that cant sing in tune. She sings really awfull. Sorry

  • rule britania rule.

the country that amongst others, produces the best music in the world.from beetles to queens and from new order to bee gees to mention only a very few.

  • @londonathens

    She is Australian.

  • @khyea91 and 90% of australians are british or at least of british background.on top ,what matters is who wrote the lyrics and compose the music of that song. let me tell you that both were done by englishmen.

  • @londonathens

Then I am mostly Welsh, and my mom is British, using your logic.

I wasn't arguing with you. It just seemed like you were using an Australian Artist to prove a point.

Not to mention, the person singing it is the prize winner. Johnny Cash doing his version of hurt WAY OUT DID NIN, just to show that the artist is of equal (if not more, at times) importance.

  • @londonathens apparently, most of the prisoners from our country got thrown into australia during the 1700s or someit like that. soo alot of aussies ancestors are prisoners sadly :(

  • @weatherallc05 That's true. But don't forget what people were being thrown into prison for in those days - joining trade unions, disagreeing with the King, or poaching a salmon to feed their families. All sounds good to me.

  • @cosytoesUK eeeek:( i find that very unfair, its just salmon haha tastes amazing aswell

  • @cosytoesUK .... didnt say anything :(

  • @weatherallc05 Sorry I misread what you wrote. I thought you were pulling my leg for saying they poached salmon. : )

  • @cosytoesUK tis alright, tbh i confused myself ;) ur name has me thinking ur a girl. are you? no disrespect i swear

  • @londonathens

Like I said, not trying to argue with you. Don't take anything I said in an offensive way.

  • nice

  • heels with those moves? brave!

  • I love the tune to this song, it's very upbeat and gets you on your feet ;)

  • its hillarious that we the uk didnt win with this !!! its still stands up as a gr8 pop track in 2011 !!!!!!!

  • its hillarious that we the uk didnt win with this !!! its still stands up as a gr8 pop track in 2011 !!!!!!!

  • the irish won 1996 with eimar quinn, grrr lol the irish have a knack of winning this contest

  • @weatherallc05 Actually I think we were trying to lose it that year because we were sick of fucking hosting it ;)

  • @Itzy74 yeah well irish have too much talent for europe, it gets boring being at the top muhaha

  • just shows britain is always ahead of its time lmao

  • so how was the programming done live? Why was there a band and conductor at all!?

  • @Lucienofficial Some of the songs would have been backed by a house band. Was the norm back during more of the schlager days.

Became less common as more musicians had instruments on stage..

  • 1996, fucking long time back now eh? was this for britain, oh my days how this lost lol

  • This song finished 8th. By this time systematic rig voting was well and truly in place at Eurovision and Britain was (and still is) one seriously unpopular country.

Not with benefit hunting muslims from the Middle East and Africa though, but that's a whole different issue...

  • hey not baD!! mi name is gina also. and i think im better dan her...

  • just put one direction up there and lets win by boyish charm

  • i love it every day more and more its a great number!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • only Eurovision song to succeed in the States. Was nominated for a grammy.

  • @jaylndn Don't forget about a little gem called "Waterloo" by a band called ABBA.

  • @spiff2268 Waterloo didn't come out in the US, did it?

  • @Spritz86 Yeah, it was a top 10 song in the US.

  • @Spritz86 Waterloo was released in the US and reached # 6.

  • haha loving that computer on stage :P

  • Do you not realise this song is about fucking. She's asking you to give her one.

  • Oddly enough she came 3rd in a 'pre-qualifying round' (the one and only time it has ever been used to determine who will be in the final based on jury votes alone ahead of the contest). However on the night I think her live vocals let her down. She ended up 8th.

  • The best ever UK entry!

  • Gina G what a fucking tuen, maybe top 5 all time best Eurodance song with a copule of Real McCoy and Corona songs. Great live performance Gina was real talented pumpin song whata dancable song. Whats tha sample if there is any?

  • @Lorenshyne

Agreed, great song! There's no sample, all songs must be original in order to take part in the contest. Motiv8 produced it though and their "sound" was used quite a lot though during the early and mid 90s.

  • @Lorenshyne no samples...if im not mistaked sampling is not allowed in Eurovision

  • Thumb up If never mind the buzzcocks brought you here.

  • @pumpxpumpkin funny thing is, I think I've actually heard this song before NEVERMIND THE BUZZCOCKS, but I can't remember where!!

  • 'ooh ahh just a little bit' 'ooh ahh a little bit more'

its what eammon holmes says when he is offered cake

  • @thomsonfly645k you watch Never Mind the Buzzcocks too? lol

  • this is so 90s

  • Comment removed

  • Classic song.

  • Love this video it Is mint. Although it keeps crashing on my iPod touch. But I watched quite a bit so I do find the video canny good to be honest it is brilliant. Love this song and the video. Lol.

  • Nice perfomance

  • Stil give me the horn ,,ooooh ahhhhh ,,,

  • Look at the computers, Lol CRT monitors just look wrong on stage. Hadant laptops been invented. Lol neither had ableton live or mainstage. Wonder wat software they were using

  • @jkk45 Windows Media Player '96 probably. Rocking it old school!

  • Used to love this song and I still like it a lot...please remind me which position it finally got!

    Greetings from Greece! <3

  • does she have thick thighs or is it wide screen??

  • all dis nigga do is grab

  • the one that got away ...shuddda won on that feel good /sexy/ hairs on the neck vibe alone .....oh ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh all the way GINA -G

  • GIna, i'll always love you

  • Well, she do miss a few notes, but i still think they should've won. I've always loved this song and there's no doubt this'll be at my top10 favourite-list. :P /peace

  • defo should of won this like.....

  • Now if Sonia had got this one, we would have walked it

  • The song, the dress, the girls dancing. They made their mark. This must be the coolest song of Eurovision

  • Are people so "Thick"

I cant belive someone asked what country is she representing....

DUH - look at the intro

  • Did she even hit one note correctly?

If only she could have used Auto-Tune 'live'...

  • @M100S2 There was no such thing as Auto-Tune back then! You people are so used to hearing talentless, pitch corrected, pre-packaged kids! 90s dance music was full of talent and great beats. Live performances are bound to have imperfections, it's art, like painting a picture. Or u can stick with digital cams and autotunes.

  • I know there wasn't autoune back then, but it was only a few months away.

I don't know how I get lumped into "so used to hearing talentless, pitch corrected, pre-packaged kids " I've been around a lot longer than just about anybody. From the dawn of time a key requirement for a singer is to be able to sing. She clearly can't sing for toffee just like the vast majority of artists today. It's a really painful performance to watch. She looks great but sounds crap, really, really crap.

  • @jake27990 Great Britain (but she's Australian)

@vanakabi The intro voice is the BBC's Terry Wogan who finally stopped presenting Eurovision a couple of years ago

  • What country is she representing ??

  • I still love this song.

  • probably one of the best eurovision songs ever, should heve won, but hey, we had the sexiest woman that year.............

  • @tadge72 BOOOO!

  • deeeeem! Who is that man, whos talking in the intro? Probably the coolest voice ever heard!

  • If they have had televoting back in 1996, things may had been different for her. But for the juries it may was a little bit too modern.

  • @villy27 What you have to remember is that televoting was only introduced because Ireland won it 4 times in 5 years.

  • You gotta love Gina G-String.

  • Great legs! Great body! Great voice! Nice to see someone sing LIVE and GOOD!!

  • LEEDS RHINOS WHEN THEY SCORE! lol =]

  • gina has hot legs !

  • *bobs head to the beat*

  • absolute travisty number 1 in 15 countries but not good enough for hypocritical nations shame shame shame

  • @micky1up, what you said reminds me of the pop metal song "Shame Shame Shame" by Ratt.

  • The blonde girl in the pink dress is Miranda Cooper from Xenonmania who wrote most of Girls Aloud's hits amongst others.

  • This song is great should be re relkeased!!!!I reckon its more current for now whoooo

  • /watch?v=MsveK8rT2aU

  • En 1996 elle aurait mérité de gagner l'Eurovision car c'est une belle chanson bien rythmée avec une chorégraphie sympa!

  • Redheads turn me on :))

  • @tadge72- And also drunken poms! My point is your a F.....g EEJIT!

  • she was robbed!

  • The irony here is that this sold copies post contest than the winner! I suspect the grannies didn`t vote for it because they are showing their knickers!

  • The year Australia should have WON Eurovision

  • @WelshyM LOL.

Why wasn't Ireland good? I like that song.

  • This is the ultimate eurivision song and it was a crime it didnt win that year.!

  • that dress looks expensive

  • good song yeah!!

  • Holy hell I remember this song!!!!!! Takes me back to my childhood in the 90s. Pretty alright song.
