  • The best daf´s are made in Sine by snake skin

  • Dorood bar shoma honarmand Irani , Long live iran and kurdistan.

  • OMG.. it is amazing. God bless you...

  • KURDISH !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • agha dasto panjat dard nakone vaghean ali bud

  • Does anyone know where, online, we can learn to play the daf starting from teh basics?

  • @lanam1 Search Kuckhermann.

  • too good!

  • Excellent daf/dap performance. I'm very grateful that you posted this wonderful percussive music. For a year, I have searched for an extended (long) demonstration of daf/dap playing, with good audio quality---and now, finally, you have offered exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

  • @avivagabriel : you are welcome ;) we are all here to share good things together.

  • @Earthrainbow

Dont you think Kurdistan is much too big to be called "just" an 'Ethnicity'?

  • @BewarKurdishMusician kurdish is an ethnicity, the same as persian is. however, kurds who live in iran are iranian by nationality, the same way persians in afghanistan are afghan by nationality. kurdistan isn't actually a nation because it is all split up and they do not even have the power to control the territory.

  • her biji KURDISTAN

  • Kurds are KURDISH not iranian

  • @BewarKurdishMusician kurdish is ethnicity iranian is nationality

  • @BewarKurdishMusician Bisavadeh mote'aseb! Iran is the soil you're walking on . You think like African tribes who hate each other. Even in U.S where people are coming from completely different nationalities always say they're American! You stupid think Iran is your step-mother that hate it. Iran the land you' have been living in since 3000 years ago . This country hase suffered from ethnic and religious prejudice very much. End it!

  • @bijantyt The Kurdish people hold the record for the most land without a nation. I cant Speak Turkish, i cant speak any Iranian language and I cant speak Arabic. I am not Muslim etheir. When People ask where i come from, WHAT THE FUCK AM I SPOSED TO SAY. My frist language is KURDISH. I can only speak english because i grew up in Australia. I would rather die than call myself Iranian, because i am not Iranian. EMIN KURDEM, HER KURD EBEM. Bêwar Xoşnaw From Xoşnawity, Kîrkuk, Hêwraman
  • @BewarKurdishMusician You said that you don't speak any Iranian language! you're speaking one of them . Yes you're Kurdish no problem with that. Iran belongs to you, If you don't like it then that's your choice. Iran does not belong to a government, Iran does not belong to a certain group of people. Iran belongs to all the people who have racial , cultural root in this land. First Government of Iran started by the Maad Dynasty, Which were your ancestors.Take Care!

  • @bijantyt

I knew that you were going to say Kurdish is an iranian language but it is not. People just say it is. There is more than one kurdish dilect and Kurdistan is spilt into four parts not only Iran. I dont want Iran to belong to me, I want Kurdistan to belong to me. I want to be able to go up to people and say "I am Kurdish", and I want them to know it when i say it. I want my own Nation.

  • It is true that Kurds are related to the Iranian but not entirely. Everyone on this Earth are related. Does that mean their Iranian too?

  • @BewarKurdishMusician

Kurds are Iranian, not "related to Iranian". Iranologists, linguists, kurdologists know that. We just repeat what academics say and write, not what politicians or pseudo-nationalists say.

  • @IranSepahbod

well academics just repeat whatever other people say, Kurdish people never wanted to be iranian. iranians just came and took our land.

  • Iranians were mot killed for speaking their Languages. So why were the Kurds?

  • This "daf navazi" is hardcore. It could be added to metal songs (with some electronic effects) I think.. Very sharp vibrations.

    Great ! : )

  • I love the Sound of DAF.

Thank you so much for posting this video.

  • @PersianStudios hhhhh! Kurds were before Persians ! Hhh read history.. Greeks called Kurds Medes never Persian!!! Hhhhh

  • @kurdishleader persian someyimes means ethnicity in that order you are right but sometimes means nationality

  • @kurdishleader lol persia was the first proper civilization -.- then kurds came from persians and then all the other sections of iranians

  • Kurds dont have anything to do with Iran. Biji Kurdistan!

  • @kurdishleader no except that they have lived in iran for the past 5000 years. You kurdish nationalists are idiots.

  • amazing

  • Freakin camera angles suck ass.. someone needs to shoot who ever recording this..

By constantly flipping around camera angles like a tweeker, your not making his drumming seem any more intense..

It just makes it hard to watch him..

  • i mean 3:12

  • F$^*ing A! I have had the privilage of being in the presense of masters of Daf and I tell you " Roll over, Ecstasy" because you get the best high just by being in the vibration of this divinely instrument.

    Iran.

  • @mabz9 Kurds are Persians, not IRANIANS!! The therm now is specifically for farse origin people while persian is allowed to be called upon all of old ancient persias kind of people

  • biji kurd u iran

  • Great , cool man

  • amazing

  • This guy is amazing

  • another pretty cool point of note if how this instrument is found almost all around the world. the shamans of Scandinavia used it, and the Native Americans used it. Music can truly bring the world together.

  • Ya but the Iranians are the best!

  • He is iranian also from kurdestan

  • Give credit where it's owed please. He is absolutely wonderful playing Daf !

  • I was. I think he is amazing. I was just noting that no one plays the daf like the Iranians (Kurds being an Iranian people) as compared to other peoples who have frame drums. The Kurds are the best among Iranian daf players.

  • @Arminius65 Wrong. Apparently, the people from Iran themselves play the daf best... @ the video, Barikala! Khegad khoob mezane... merci ke een ra gososhti rooye youtube!

  • holy moly! never thought such a simple instrument could be played like that. bravo!

  • faghat mitoonam begam kheyli bishtar azye shahkarekheyliiiiiiiiii.hamin.

  • hamintore golam

roozi keh u ham hamintor bezanee door nist

  • The drum can be purchased in most Middle Eastern countries...and is also found in Middle Eastern or Mediterranean markets. It may look easy to play, however the daf truly takes years to master. I have been playing for a good year now, and still have a way to go.

For example, just that first portion where he plays and none of the rings make any noise as he plays is almost Impossible at that speed! I have just now started mastering it! :)

  • I just brought back a daf from Iran. This man is my motivation to learn how to play it...He's SO good!

  • omg em spechless ...beji 1000 bejii

  • perfect... he is a kurd i think. the best tef-player ever seen..

  • ya he is kurdsih, but the best daf player is HAZHAR ZEHAWI, he is the best in the world now, he played for kingdom of heaven

  • yeah.......where to buy????

  • Wow, very beautiful!!!!!! It's amazing :O

  • This is awesome. I have been playing the bendir, which is similar but with no chains on the back (like this one).If you are interested in frame drumming you should check out Glen Velez. He is the master of frame drumming!

  • Fantastic. He puts so much feeling into it.

    Thanks

  • vaghean aliye.
