An open world game of JP would be amazing. It would probably be somewhere in between the size of a GTA city and Skyrim. I would love to go in and visit the Visitor's Center.

One issue I have with this game is that it's clearly E rated, which doesn't do the material justice. I realize TellTale wants to deliver an experience to a broad audience, but it just doesn't make sense when carnivorous creatures don't actually shed the blood of their prey. What's that teaching children anyway? If you harm somebody, there's no consequences at all? They should have at least made this a T rating without the unnecessary gore of M. Like Uncharted series, which speaks for itself.

why do people say graphics are bad? I don't see anything wrong with them. Infact there pretty good compared with graphics today, animations are iffy, but the people have good face and body animation.

You seem to not realize what they had in the park in case of emergencies.
They had tranquillizer guns, rifles, gas grenades, even rocket launchers. The book details the weapons they had. Muldoon was one of the only people who could unlock the weapons lockers, and it was a point in the book. You don't make a park with some of the largest and most dangerous carnivores to ever exist, and only keep tranquilizer guns.
Even in the movie you see more than traquilizer guns.
this isn't going to be a good game, the makers could've made it good by making you a s.w.a.t team or something and giving you awesome weapons which you can pick up at different points of the game, instead there are no guns and the objective is to not get eaten by pressing buttons in a certain order, this game is made for ages 7 and BELOW.
Dino's and environments/sets look fine, people need some more graphical work and some of the voice acting is a bit dodgy but other than that it's shaping up to be a good sequel to the original movie.
I had my doubts about this for a while, but after playing the Back to The Future episodic game series, I was hopeful. Telltale made the game stand true to the original story of the movies. After all, when it comes down to it, the story is the most important aspect of a game, followed by gameplay and then graphics.

@Kelnar7 I guess it depends on the type of game. Since this game (as well as the Back to The Future episodes) is trying to fill in parts of the story we didn't see, the gameplay mechanics are more acceptable since this game is completely story oriented.

The game is labeled as a "Heavy Rain"-esque game, which is totally fucking retarded seeing how it isn't like Heavy Rain at all. All you get to do is push buttons and get mad when you don't time it correctly and watch your characters die over and over.

I'm pretty excited for this, i'm a big fan of the movies, the story sounds interesting, and i want to know who these new characters are. But the graphics are a little off putting for me, everything just looks so plastic, and I am not a graphics whore. And I kind of wish it was like heavy rain as they say, from a story telling point it does look like heavy rain, but the gameplay looks nothing like it. I wish they let us walk around, oh well. Still looking forward to it though.

Big fan of Tell Tale games, I admit Back to the Future was fairly simple at times but I greatly enjoyed it.
I'm pretty excited about this but also worried. I mean the dinos look kick ass for sure, the people however.. not so much. And I do wonder how Tell Tale will fare with the action to keep it feeling suspenseful. Would be interesting if they actually let you die in this like in olllllld school (pre-Monkey Island) era adventure games.

I've read Jurassic park (much better than movie, i recommend it) and am reading TLW. And I think this game is focused towards HC fans of JP, just like BttF was. I am excited for it, and think that if you play it in the right state of mind, it will be a great game. Scary too :) And you should really calm down with the attacks on TellTale, they're amazing.
@Keilanify Telltale WERE amazing. Now they make dumbed down overpriced storybooks with little to no gameplay. It leads you by the hand the entire time and expects no thought, skill, or effort. You're literally paying $25-$35 for a badly animated machinima. There is no arguing that their games have never had good graphics, but at least, until recently, they had great gameplay to make up for it. BttF was so easy a toddler could solve it, and JP looks to be even easier yet. No hope left in TTG.

@Keilanify I am objecting primarily to the fact that due to there being very little interaction or even any choices to be made, and not much interactivity, it gains nothing from being a game, and may as well be a machinima. What is the point of making a game that has very little interactivity and there is no requirement to think or try? I wouldn't care if it were a film, or a book, or a machinima or whatever, I just see no point in making a game that you can't actually DO anything in.

You seem to not realize what they had in the park in case of emergencies.
They had tranquillizer guns, rifles, gas grenades, even rocket launchers. The book details the weapons they had. Muldoon was one of the only people who could unlock the weapons lockers, and it was a point in the book. You don't make a park with some of the largest and most dangerous carnivores to ever exist, and only keep tranquilizer guns.
Even in the movie you see more than traquilizer guns.

this isn't going to be a good game, the makers could've made it good by making you a s.w.a.t team or something and giving you awesome weapons which you can pick up at different points of the game, instead there are no guns and the objective is to not get eaten by pressing buttons in a certain order, this game is made for ages 7 and BELOW.

Dino's and environments/sets look fine, people need some more graphical work and some of the voice acting is a bit dodgy but other than that it's shaping up to be a good sequel to the original movie.

I had my doubts about this for a while, but after playing the Back to The Future episodic game series, I was hopeful. Telltale made the game stand true to the original story of the movies. After all, when it comes down to it, the story is the most important aspect of a game, followed by gameplay and then graphics.

@damuvrymuch you fail at game school buddy...everyone who plays games knows...a game doesn't even need a story to be good......the ONLY thing important in making a good game is GAMEPLAY.....followed by plot and graphics....heck a game can have the crappest graphics or teh worst plot in history, so long as the gameplay is ok then you have a good game.

@Kelnar7 I guess it depends on the type of game. Since this game (as well as the Back to The Future episodes) is trying to fill in parts of the story we didn't see, the gameplay mechanics are more acceptable since this game is completely story oriented.

You guys realise that this isn't like turok? Say walking around with the D-pad or interacting with any object or just fucking walking around..
The game is labeled as a "Heavy Rain"-esque game, which is totally fucking retarded seeing how it isn't like Heavy Rain at all. All you get to do is push buttons and get mad when you don't time it correctly and watch your characters die over and over.
Hope I'm wrong... There has been no really good JP game.. Except JP:OG.

I'm pretty excited for this, i'm a big fan of the movies, the story sounds interesting, and i want to know who these new characters are. But the graphics are a little off putting for me, everything just looks so plastic, and I am not a graphics whore. And I kind of wish it was like heavy rain as they say, from a story telling point it does look like heavy rain, but the gameplay looks nothing like it. I wish they let us walk around, oh well. Still looking forward to it though.

@AmericanMan44 yeah, but i was also waiting for another operation genesis Jurassic park game, but since this is more like action, i can live with that, but i also had a few ideas that they could change operation genesis, like controlling the dinosaurs and stuff like that (forgive me but i cant mod since i have the ps2 version) and i cant help but think about how the "Jurassic classic" mission didn't have a triceratops when its in the movie did, im just saying that when a game has a few flaws 1/2

@fuzzycatfur2008 2/2 and i believe when that happens, listen to what people want, and make a what would be sequel back in the ps2 era, now DLC to fix things up, i always wanted to control the t rex and have him destroy a cage, and with modern game tech, the potential of a remake of the game are infinite, and hopefully this game could start another JP trend and lead to it being remade, i am really looking forward to seeing what this game brings to the table.

Lame insults? I'm stating facts. Telltale are done making games that are challenging to anyone above the intellectual level of a kindergartener. And no, it's not a win win scenario. I WANT to buy games from Telltale, but with quality this poor, I can't justify it. They used to make great games. Unfortunately, they have decided money is more important than quality. There is no excuse for releasing an adventure game that does not contain puzzles. None.

Big fan of Tell Tale games, I admit Back to the Future was fairly simple at times but I greatly enjoyed it.
I'm pretty excited about this but also worried. I mean the dinos look kick ass for sure, the people however.. not so much. And I do wonder how Tell Tale will fare with the action to keep it feeling suspenseful. Would be interesting if they actually let you die in this like in olllllld school (pre-Monkey Island) era adventure games.

@saltireBLACKOPS I don't care how bad the older Jurassic Park games were, that has nothing to do with the fact that this game isn't even a damn game. Clicking a button when the game tells you to doesn't amount to gameplay, it amounts to being a stupid brainless robot watching a poorly animated machinima that tells you exactly what to do and when to do it. Even Heavy Rain is more of a game than this, since you can actually at least make a damn choice that matters every now and then.

@GodzillaX8 Well, I'm glad they did this, and not just another streamlined FPS :). I think its a great chance to feel like your in a STORY. I've read Jurassic park (much better than movie, i recommend it) and am reading TLW. And I think this game is focused towards HC fans of JP, just like BttF was. I am excited for it, and think that if you play it in the right state of mind, it will be a great game. Scary too :) And you should really calm down with the attacks on TellTale, they're amazing.

@Keilanify Telltale WERE amazing. Now they make dumbed down overpriced storybooks with little to no gameplay. It leads you by the hand the entire time and expects no thought, skill, or effort. You're literally paying $25-$35 for a badly animated machinima. There is no arguing that their games have never had good graphics, but at least, until recently, they had great gameplay to make up for it. BttF was so easy a toddler could solve it, and JP looks to be even easier yet. No hope left in TTG.

@Keilanify Um, BttF didn't have choices to make. Heavy Rain did. Jurassic Park will consist of clicking on whatever is on screen until the next cutscene plays with no thought or effort. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Watch the existing gameplay videos. There is no thought required to play this game.

@Keilanify I am objecting primarily to the fact that due to there being very little interaction or even any choices to be made, and not much interactivity, it gains nothing from being a game, and may as well be a machinima. What is the point of making a game that has very little interactivity and there is no requirement to think or try? I wouldn't care if it were a film, or a book, or a machinima or whatever, I just see no point in making a game that you can't actually DO anything in.
