We have a prime minister in Australia. We really should become a republic there's no need for the monarchy other than tourism. It's just this silly idea that you were crapped out of a particularly lucky vagina so you get all this wealth for doing nothing. Australia doesn't benefit from the tourism in anyway either. It would be awesome to have K-rina as a president; maybe things would actually start getting done but I don't see that happening.
You're right that Vimeo isn't ideal by a long way, but at least the business model is not entirely based on advertising. The main income is from users paying a monthly fee for a 'plus' account which allows 5 gig a week uploads and other stuff.
