thank you for this, it made me cry from thinking of being a little girl again, even the CBS special logo that's what did it...I remember....HUGS and thanks again
Gobel also had his own comedy show The George Gobel Show in the early days of television (NBC I believe) in which he poked fun at his wife Spooky Old Alice muchlike Diller did with Fang in her heyday. Gobel was also a regular on the Vegas nightclub circuit - And a regular guest on The Tonight Show (Both with Parr and Johnny). I comedic legend. And I remember him most for this . . . Probably because I was a kid when this was first release. Thanx and Happy Holidays.
Why is it that these really bad tv specials were so addicting! So many memories...remember Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus is coming to Town, and Rudolph. Good times...good times!
Joel Grey portrayed the Master of Ceremonies in the movie version of "Cabaret" and George Gobel was one of the many frequent celebrities on the original Hollywood Squares.
I Just love this cartoon show, it's so cool. i remember my mother, father, sister, and I used to drive to the farm at canton, south dakota, we was going to spend christmas with the grandparents, my mother used to made me pratice reciting part of this christmas poem to my grandmother. oh btw 3 months till christmas, I don't care that much about halloween, but i'm so looking forword to thanksgiving and christmas.
this is also one of my favorite christmas cartoons, i even remember when my family and i went to spend christmas with my grandparents who once lived in south dakota, and my mother would made me practice reciting the christmas poem "twas the night before christmas" to my grandmother.
OMG! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS! Granted I was just a small infant when this was on television, but it's my favorite! My parents recorded these, and showed it to me every christmas. it holds such a warm place in my heart!
