  • A real beauty. I 'd love to have one.

  • how can i know what year is mine?

  • @whitebear26

if it's a singer, the serial number & model number will give you the age.

call a local dealer to get the manafacture date

  • Nice machine to refurbish. When I refurbish I bond with them, then usually nickname them. One of my favorites is an 1889 Singer with a fiddle base, Bertha. They are amazing machines and sew beautifully. I'll have to add before and after vids on my channel.

  • What's the name of the piano tune playing?

  • I just adore those works of art!

    they are fantastic1

anybody who can should go on CRAIGSLIST and get one to use as a decoration..

  • Hi, very nice machine you have found :-)

How does it look now? These old machines were not greased, only oiled. Only some of the treadle parts where greased. they can often be cleaned out with thin oils like Triflow or GT85, and then use regular sewing machine oil if you want to be authentic. WD-40 is not that good in the long run.

  • I have a model from H from1907 and want to get it cleaned up. It has 3 drawers on each side.

  • vintage singer treadle is da shit. fuck all dese nu digi-internet sewing machines. vintage singer is da best!!!

  • My mother has a singer treadle machine. six drawers and a flip out tray. I hope to acquire it once she moves on. I like antique items.

  • VERY NICE !

    I have 3 similar #66's

    All Red Eye's

My closese match to yours is a serial #

    G8120232. also a 1914 model.

    Same machine !

    Your's is stunning !!!!

    I agree with andyp0 .

Take GOOD care of that thing !

  • Such a beauty

  • this machine is pretty much like mine except it has 8 drawers total. i cleaned mine up pretty well, there was caked oil and rust all over, but now it's in full funtion except i can't thread the bobbin

  • why cant you 'wind' the bobbin ?

  • it's not that i can't wind it, i can't get the string to feed right from inside it's holder

  • the bobbinholder is easy to load .. send me a PM and ill help you with that .

  • That serial shows it's a 1911 model 66 machine (listing at singerco -dot- com under serials) of which 40000 were made. We have the same cabinet but ours in an 1898 model 27, aka vibrating shuttle #2. Much worse condition of the cabinet but then we have no background on ours or where it was stored before we were given it.

  • awesome video!!!

    I have the Same machine!!

    Also...I love the music!
