LOOOOve this amazing performance! Thought it was done very well and also loved the playfulness of the act by the tenors. I very much enjoyed at 3:08-3:09 as Mehta closed out his performance, including the audience. There could be no complaining about this vid.
I'm wondering why this was disliked. Not complaining, I think people are entitled to their opinions (there is a dislike button for a reason). I want to know more about opera. What legitimate critiques are there of this performance?
They look like they really are the owners of the public and the stage, who would ever imagine that thousands of hearts could be bought with three voices?
@fixdeluxe1 That's a point, but Opera was very popular in Europe at the 19th century... Even Mozart wrote popular opera when this kind of art was exclusive to the nobility. Italian operas, like the Rossini ones, were sucessfull hits among the mass.

the three of them are great; but Pavarotti is the greates, just look at the way he starts the song, he makes it look so easy; he seems to be just talking not singing (no effort what so ever). RIP Pavarotti.
@realista3realista Pavarotti has a sweeter voice, but in fact Doming was named the greatest tenor in recorded music history. That and the double register in his voice, both tenor and baritone, give him a much wider range of ability than Pavarotti.

感: YOU TUBE - The Three Tenors - Libiamo Ne' Lieti Calici
