lol, I watched it again....the arms still sorta drive me nuts. I agree with the face that some tappers only move from the waist down, but it wouldn't hurt to throw in a few choreographed arms though. Or at least something that didn't distract from what the sounds their feet are making, lol. :)
Do you have a ballet background? I do, and sometimes tappers' arms make me nuts too. But of course, ballerinas don't do percussion with their feet; tradeoff?
I did do ballet, contemporary & jazz but my passion was tapping. I think most tappers have other forms of dance training, but it's the choreography that sometimes ignores the arms....the choreography that I grew up on utilized arms a lot more than most of the tap videos on youtube. If it was choreographed with arms having more precision, then most tappers could execute it well, so I'm not sure why they don't choreograph them much, just letting them flail around...lol
