Steve Spurrier built up the team, and if it wasn't for him we would be just like Kentucky and Vanderbilt, just another easy team. He made USC a quality team, with real talent and real chances, and doing it cleanly unlike the likely recruitment violators such as Alabama and Boise State.

Lou Holtz had problems with this guy as well. He really would be better off in Clemson or Georgia since he despises the home team and all of their coaches so much.
