Charlie is a real deal country legend, but compare this version to the great Ronnie Milsap's and there's no denying who has the greater voice. Ronnie has the vocal range and power to take nearly any song and better the original version.

my hubby use to sing this song to me, sometime in the late 60's I think. Though he's gone home to Jesus, I miss him so. I have always loved this song by Charlie Pride and it now makes me think of my sweetheart of 47 yrs.. I had to convince my kids that Charlie Pride sang it before Ronnie Milsap; I also love his version.
