Man, reading some of these comments really saddens me.

Do people even enjoy to play anymore, or do they just do it to be better than someone?

Who cares who wins, It was fun, we all got to hear 400 different interpretations and hopefully learned some cool ideas.

I have my favorites, you have yours, now Let the Judges decide who they like the best, and leave it at that.

I think the Judges should win for having to deal with all this crap.

I still watch entries to some of these contest from years ago just to remember how fun it was recording my takes and then listening to everyone else's to see how different they all are.. For a player its really amazing and eye opening to see how many possibilities and unique ideas you can really express over every track.. I get really upset when I see comments demanding results and putting down other entries. You can buy the prizes but not the expiriences.

Most of us realize you guys are busy and some of the judges have devoted countless hours to multiple contest. The best part of these contest for the players is seeing all the different unique entries and we all have already won just for the experience. Take your time. Much respect for your playing... @6StringHawk1982 well i think some of your language is uncalled for.. if you look closely am not the only one who is asking for a simple answer, and i know all the hard work the judges have to do, but people put a lot of time on their entries too so is question of being updated, so people know what and when to expect, and cleary you have paitience cause you have no chances at all.

I mean, half of them judge pretty much all contests at Truth in Shredding, so it's bound to take some time before a shortlist gets in. Just chill out, and check out some of the other entries while you wait. \m/

@Uberado Thats exactly why I got so upset when I saw his comment about demanding results.. Its uncalled for and it really bothers me! All the players look forward to these contest and want it to be a positive experience for us and the judges so we can have many more in the future. If your that worried about winning then you missed the point in the whole contest and I just wanted to stick up for the entire experience because the judges don't need the drama!

@lazerphea I think he talking about one bad thing, happened with big part of modern guitar players - they have great technic, but have no musicality and soul. They just rape the guitar with learned licks, have no taste and can only play-as-his-favorite-shredder. People leave music behind the speed and technic, and it's so sad.

Please check Gianluca Barisone's entry, and take a listen. That's how a great solo should be composed to me, no USELESS technical showoffs like many did in their videos, just great balance and awesome structure led by pure taste and notes full of emotion! That's my opinion, now take a listen! :))

@Bombolotzetze The first 3 (and not only) are amazing. Di Salvo has great licks ala Gottardo. Guzman is skilled and made a very original solo, Ricciolino's one is very melodic and has super tappings!

The hardest thing about Playing over this backing track was not playing the Wind of Change solo from the Scorpions ;) It's so close....

I almost played it just for kicks because I don't stand a chance with some of these beasts...There are some damn good players in this.
