The motorized bicycle also needs to stay under 30 mph or it might be considered a motorcycle. Then you would need registration, a license plate, working lights, turn signals and you would need a motorcycle endorsement on your drivers license. No restriction on engine size.
Don't listen to anyone else about the kill switch. White wire coming out of the engine puts out roughly 6v for a headlight or something, you don't wire it to anything. The other wire connections are blue to blue, black to black. and green to blue, red/yellow to black
for the kill switch: the white cable from the motor goes to the black cable from the switch and the yellow cable from the swith goes to the engine or frame
Kill switch wiring - Blue wire at the coil your kill switch wires one goes to that wire and the other goes to ground on the engine or frame of your bike.
I got the exact same thing. I'm in the UK. I've tried to find out how to get the muffler quite but most people tell me to leave it. I can do up to 40 mph amd I get about 100 miles with my 3 Lee tank (just over half a gallon).

@Super1chef Where do you live? In my state (Illinois) these are legal to ride on the street.. There are a few restrictions though. You have to be at least 16, the engine can't be over 1hp, and the bike can't go over 20mph. You can get around the last 2 if pulled over by.. well.. lying. How are they to know the hp rating or top speed? Chances are you will never be pulled over anyways, unless you are doing something stupid with your bike.

@hahahafunnymyass I have one (66cc Skyhawk) and with the 36tooth sprocket I easily go to 35mph. Fastest I dared to push it was 39 on flat street and it wouldn't go any faster.. that's plenty fast on a bike. And I know it was accurate speed reading because I measured it with a GPS unit. Cheers.

@SuperWanderingshadow I put little rubber pieces from an old tire tube, but the vibrations are still there. With a single piston going up and down that quick you'll always get some vibration no matter what. You get used to it very quickly and don't even pay attention to it. Cheers.

I am really surprised that know one else has tried to modify the chain tensioners that come with these bikes. I built 3 motor bike kits and did not like the tensioner from day one! I designed a spring tensioner that quiets the chain slap completely. It so simple to make, i would suggest everyone make one : ). Nice build! hows it running for you?

I'm sure you will be able to. Technically it should be ridden on the street or in a bike lane. You shouldn't have any problems riding it on the sidewalks though. As long as it is under 48cc you will have no problems with the law enforcement. Most engines arent labeled so if it is larger than 48cc, you still wont have a problem. Good luck!

Thanks alot. But the fuel ratio goes by parts, so sixteen parks gas, one part oil. to get the actual oil to gallon ratios google it. Usually when you start its something like 3 oz oil per gallon. And using gas from the gas station works fine, I use 87 octane since its the cheapest and will yeild the best mileage.
hey when you first get the bike you have to break the engine in for the first 300 miles so you need to use 16 parts gas to 1 part oil . after the 300 miles change the ratio to 25 parts gas to 1 part oil and you will see a big difference in power and speed but do not use straight gas because the engine will lock up
p.s. do not take off your muffler your engine will splode
hey man i build these bikes too i have 9 of them. the engine itself is a two stroke. that means you have to mix the oil with the gas. when you mix the gas for a brand new engine make surte that it's 16:1 for the fist tank so that you break it in properly. after the first tank it has to be 20:1. when the engine is truly broken in you will be able to get some octane booster and put that into the mix. read the instuctions. it's like 25 ml for every 5 litres. it's strong. good luck

@ilikeeggs454 the smallest frame you can have is a 14 inch frame. his frame is not 26 that is the wheel size. it is measured from the bottom bracked up the seat pole to the seat. make sure that your bike is 14 inches at least and the bars have a small diameter
you dont have to get a liscense because most of these kits dont have the cc size displayed on the engine and the only problem you might have with local law enforcement is the noise in small neighborhoods. Im in a college town and these are everywhere. i know of someone who got a speeding ticket on campus. going 45 in a 30
the bike goes faster with the gap in the muffler gasket because it has less back pressure but i think it is bad for ur engine so i would get that sealed if u want ur engine to last more than two weeks
if you want to use the kill switch, hook the longer cable to the ignition wires, and the shorter cable to the bike somehow. The kill switch just grounds the sparker cables.
Yes it does. It accelerates very fast if tuned correctly and getting to top speed takes a bit of time but you can definatley get up there. I would recommend a Jack Shaft kit, it hooks up to your gears on your bike so you can up shift and down shift for more speed.
to hook up the kill switch you got to hook one of the wires up the the white wire coming out of the motor and take the other wire and ground it on the motor mount!

hey dude you did a great job on the video but like you i also need some help what does the mixing fuel ratio mean like 16:1 or 20:1 .What kind of fuel did you use.Like i mean did you just put in regular gas from the gas station or you have to do something special to the gas first?Thank you any help is appreciated.

Thanks alot. But the fuel ratio goes by parts, so sixteen parks gas, one part oil. to get the actual oil to gallon ratios google it. Usually when you start its something like 3 oz oil per gallon. And using gas from the gas station works fine, I use 87 octane since its the cheapest and will yeild the best mileage.

hey when you first get the bike you have to break the engine in for the first 300 miles so you need to use 16 parts gas to 1 part oil . after the 300 miles change the ratio to 25 parts gas to 1 part oil and you will see a big difference in power and speed but do not use straight gas because the engine will lock up
p.s. do not take off your muffler your engine will splode

@FittyPennys and you will want to use fully synthetic oil in the beggining which is kinda expensive so I wouldn't care so much about the fuel cost

hey man i build these bikes too i have 9 of them. the engine itself is a two stroke. that means you have to mix the oil with the gas. when you mix the gas for a brand new engine make surte that it's 16:1 for the fist tank so that you break it in properly. after the first tank it has to be 20:1. when the engine is truly broken in you will be able to get some octane booster and put that into the mix. read the instuctions. it's like 25 ml for every 5 litres. it's strong. good luck

Im puttin 1 together though I d feel a little more comfortable w/ disc brakes . The rubber compounds used on the friction brakes arent made to handle the temp produced by stoping 2 40 MPH . . .. . .

@ilikeeggs454 the smallest frame you can have is a 14 inch frame. his frame is not 26 that is the wheel size. it is measured from the bottom bracked up the seat pole to the seat. make sure that your bike is 14 inches at least and the bars have a small diameter

you dont have to get a liscense because most of these kits dont have the cc size displayed on the engine and the only problem you might have with local law enforcement is the noise in small neighborhoods. Im in a college town and these are everywhere. i know of someone who got a speeding ticket on campus. going 45 in a 30

the bike goes faster with the gap in the muffler gasket because it has less back pressure but i think it is bad for ur engine so i would get that sealed if u want ur engine to last more than two weeks

if you want to use the kill switch, hook the longer cable to the ignition wires, and the shorter cable to the bike somehow. The kill switch just grounds the sparker cables.

Should work. The thing you should really be looking at is the frame dimensions as the motor mounts have to fit and most bikes have large frame sizes.

Yes it does. It accelerates very fast if tuned correctly and getting to top speed takes a bit of time but you can definatley get up there. I would recommend a Jack Shaft kit, it hooks up to your gears on your bike so you can up shift and down shift for more speed.

to hook up the kill switch you got to hook one of the wires up the the white wire coming out of the motor and take the other wire and ground it on the motor mount!

no, the white wire is for lights and accessories. It's a 6v wire. Hook up the other wire and the black to ground.

I would say it does, it filters out the bigger things so you don't get bad fuel or small rocks or something.

I would say finding a bike with the right frame size....and the chain, I had to cut mine to length. Also, the measurements are used with
