oh thats ridiculous ive lived here all my life and newton and newark are NOTHING alike. every town has its trash but newton nj is in no way an urban or dangerous area. we're in the middle of bear country, i worry more about running into a bear in the middle of the night then a criminal... haha please.
Such a bad area. We just moved out of newton. Alot of gangs there now. Some girl got stabbed and killed on spring street before we left. They always have so many cops there. Glad to have gotten out. Such a scumy neighborhood. It's bad there at night and over at the projects down the street from there. I've lived in newArk nj before there and newton is getting to be just as bad. Get out while u can!
