You got some sick beats. I'm new to the electronic equipment, I'm coming off piano and drum set but just came into possession of a 4000, where do you get your drum kits, or are you sampling the beats from vinyl?
Fukken Beast on the 4000...Your montage is nice bro...Keep it up for all the hip hop heads that dig this underground shit...You need to be on iTunes or some shit like that...Get your shit out there...Get Noticed! You got talent famo...I have a MPC 4000 myself. Check out my videos.
at last somebody who can do justice to a great piece of hardware...i see sum wack videos on youtube from mp 4000/5000....ive had a 1000 for a minit now and i was lookin to get the 5000 but i heard alot of people have had problems with it.....what do u reckon bro hit me back....ur beats are nasssty ;)
@setitstraight100 Much respect homie! Man, I actually still wish I had my 1K still. You runnin JJOS on it? This 4K is a beast and I love it. There was a bit of a learning curve because it runs on a totally different OS than the 1, 2.5 & 5Ks, which is a good and bad thing. The sound and things you can do with the 4K are pretty ridiculous, but as long as you can freak it, it won't matter which one you pick up. Can't really go wrong with any MP.
@setitstraight100 Stay away from the 5000. I used to own one, horrible machine, I went from the 5000 to the 4000...if you can track down a MPC go with the 3000 or the 4000. Hell, even a 2500 with JJOS is beastly but not the 5000....its garbage even with all the updates.
@setitstraight100 Yeah man, I agree with Didjital, I have a MPC 1000 and 4000, Im running my 1K on the JJ O.S., and the 4K is a amazing powerhouse for any studio, but I also enjoy using my 1000 alot if im just doing some simpler drums or want to do a quick loop and thats all. Its also great to have the 1K for portability, the 4K is big as fuck and kind of a bitch to lug around, The 1K as you know is a very convenient size compared to the other MPs, fits right in a backpack. also,Sick beats Didj!
@spyderhex Damn, you're packin heat. Both have totally different OS's though as I'm sure you've found out by now. Just keep on it and I'm sure you'll get some clappers in no time.
@dondigitech Yeah bro ive learned the mpc in a few days choppin and mapping is really simple on the 5000, i can layer my drums and know how to save everything neatly but i dont know where to begin digging for records, tried researching it but cant find anything.. not tryin to take your style but you chose some really good breaks.
@PetoKsong you can't really go wrong with any mpc. i started on a 1000 and still have it. if you are just starting it's better to stay away from the 4000 which can be a little too much. you can keep it classic with the 2000xl or you can get the 2500 and run the JJOS on it.
i hear what youre trying to do. im not knocking you but the pads sound a lil choppy, maybe they shouldve transitioned into each other more smooth cuz you can hear the stutters. also maybe tweek the quantizing. soory bro, not hating just constructive criticism from one beat maker to another. great sample choice btw
