tanks are supposed to get shitted on. Thats why they have armor.... The tank actually proved itself well during that war, having lost half has many soldiers per tank hits as in previous wars. Tank is there to protect the crew not to look pretty.

@7600692 oh so now you want to be a raciest, the merkava is a great tank. It is great for tank on tank combat, and urban. It can even fit extra soldiers in the back. It would own a M1 A1 Abrams any day. The only problem is that it's to heavy. Not even a C-130 can carry it.

I wouldn't say it so early,because the gun in both mbts is the same. The training of the crews,the armor,the fire control system and the tactics would make the difference for one or the other.

The only different round that could be seen in this case could be the Israeli cannon launched ATGM Lahat. If not this,I think that the guns of Leopard 2A6 and Merkava will fire the same ammunitions. If we count with the informations that can be seen in Youtube documentary about Failures of Israel MBT Merkava,that is of public knowledge,the result of a duel between these two mbts surely will be unpredictable.
