I wonder if there is a LP verison of this song. Good Baptist Music!!!!

  • how can i get a copy of this musical?

  • Precious Memories! I remember the broadcast.

  • i'm not posting to go back and forth with anybody but we have to be so careful these days because the enemy can give us any reason not to go to church. how can u say that i don't go to church because God has not told me to go to church, what about "fail not to assmeble yourselves together." true some people may be like john the baptist staying in the hedges and highways but be careful how u say God has not lead u. We are a generation looking for a sign....but its already in his Word....

  • Director go head and dance all you want. DO it as God leads you. Its amazing that how Amazing this is and all you can do is make a negative comment about the director. That's why I stopped going to church, ONE LORD ONE FAITH ONE BAPTISM BUT SOOOOOMANY OPINIONS. IF GOD HASNT SAID ANYTHING.......QUIET

  • You know, I understand your sentiment on this; however, I ENCOURAGE you to continue to get the Word and to ask the Lord to lead you into the right place of worship, as I've found church to be the classroom for Biblical knowledge and the application of that knowledge so that we are EMPOWERED to overcome the negativity that exists. Yes, there are "naysayers" all around; yet, we--by God's Spirit AND direction--can teach and encourage them in the direction God has for them. I praise God for you.

  • Thanks for the encouragement, but God has not lead me to go to church. If and when he does, I'll go. By Faith ye are saved, but faith without works is dead,as James says, so I will continue to commune with God everywhere I go. Jesus even condemned the idea of believing to worship God in one place when he spoke to the Samaritan woman. So Church might be for you and others, and I wont judge that, but its not for me. Church is walk of life, not a place. Just understand its not for me. God Bless you

  • First of all...the comment that she made was not a serious one!!! She was just playin around in which is evident by her having the "LOL" & "U betta praise Him!" comments at the end!! I'm sorry that u had some bad experiences in church, but my Pastor just preached today on the subject "Let them talk"! It's a part of life & if u gonna run away every time someone says something u don't like...u gonna be runnin for the rest of yo life!! Stay encouraged & remember that only God's judgement matters!!!

  • Yes for the Sister Act 2 comment at the end.."If you run everytime someone says something u don't like, youll be running for the rest of your life!!" I LOVE IT.

But yeah, I really agree. If I got upset and left everytime someone talked about me, even at my church that I LOVE, I would be outback, and I'd never find a "right" church. Because as long as we look for the perfect church, we'll be lost, because the people are the church...and nobody is perfect...unfortunately :(

  • @vashottest "Church" is not located inside of a building neither is it built via building funds. The body is the temple. If the sister was in a dysfunctional environment of saints/aints, she is supposed to have the God-given sense to leave. For too long, people have remained in abusive churches because they were told not to leave. There is no scripture to support anyone to stay in an abusive church. Trut kingdom building involves building the inner man.

  • All I can say is WOW...brings back memories as a child when my mother used to watch the television ministry every week! Thank you for posting!!

  • CHITOWN CHURCHIN!!!!! Nothin like it!

  • do they still have a choir?? or at least almost this size still?

  • Yes of course they still have a choir! It's nowhere near this size being that this is the reunion choir which boasts members from all of their choirs over the past I don't even no how many years, but they still have a full choir on any given Sunday morning!!!

  • where can you purchase the cd for this musical?

  • thats what I'm talking about, now this si church choir.................sing!!!

  • My God, My God, Soprano's remind me of the Tabernacle of Prayer New York. Takes me way back.

  • alright now haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

  • i cant et away from this whole series of video!!! i gotta hit the high notes...lol

  • Can anyone tell me the second verse of that send. Starts with Lean on Jesus, Christ my Savior...

  • I believe you're referring to the chorus of the song. These are the words: Leaning on Jesus Christ is my Savior Safe and Secure from All Alarms Leaning on Jesus Christ is my Savior Leaning on the Everlasting Arms [Sopranos] Ohhhh, Oh Yes I'm Leaning Repeat Chorus If you'd like to know all the words to the verses, simply do a serach on the Internet for "What a Fellowship" or "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms" and possibly include the word "hymn." Be Blessed!!!
  • thank very much....and i knew that...i'm from the country i am supposed to know that....just hadn't heard it that upbeat before...i had to sing it slow to get it....lol....again thanks

  • I ordered this DVD today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WHO SELLS THIS DVD????

  • where can i get this dvd please!!!!!!

  • Where did you order it from??? Please let me know!! I want this one bad. This broadcast got me through college in 1970????

  • If you call the church (773-373-8550), you may be able to get the CD/DVD combo for $20 as I did. Because I live here in Chicago, I went over to the church, saving myself postage fees. I was told that the CD/DVD is not sold on the Internet---it's either DVD only or CD only. Call the church.

  • yes!!! thak you so much!!!!

  • LOL @ the title of the video..."celebration version" only black churches would have celebration versions of hymnals! and there are like so many "versions" to this particular hymnal! and i'ma hit them sopranos, sounding so good. gotta love it.

  • Actually, this is Fellowship's theme song (if you will). Before each service, the choir opens with "What A Fellowship" done this way. However, since this video is of the Reunion Choir [many of whom had seen each other in years], they seemed to be a bit more "celebratory" than usual. That's why I listed it as "Celebration Version". Love you for your comments. Keep watching and being blessed.

  • Where can I get a copy of this?

I love Fellowship Church. Rev. Clay Evans is an awesome man of God!

Do they still have copies of the Sunday night broadcast services with Rev. York and Rev. Grant. I used to listen to that every Sunday night when I was in college. I would buy VHS or DVD or tapes?

  • I am not familiar with Rev. Grant (maybe before my time). However, Rev. Mother York and Rev. Ulysess Wright were there when I came into the Fellowship family. As I come across more material, I will post it. Man, Mother York was a POWERHOUSE!!! That lady could PRAY satan back to hell and make him fearful to come out. WHEWW!!!!

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

I remember Rev. Grant and Mother York! They were life to the Sunday Night broadcast. Nobody can read a scripture like Rev. Grant. He could set the Word on fire! Mother York, just ushered in the Praise! What an awesome time, each time.

  • @252 the shot of the organist,.. when I lived in Chicago is he the thin brother who played when Fellowship came on television?, and the other muscian standing by the Leslie is he the other organist?, I believe he was/is Rev. Evans nephew? What are their names? My last question, I noticd that Fred Nelson 111 was the executive producer is he still playing for 1st Church of Deliverance?

  • Well... I can't remember the guy on the organ's name at the moment. But the guy standing by him is Leonard Maddox. He is a great musician!! Good friend of mine as well!!

  • Man they playing them Tambourines!!!

  • this is so "church" its funny... especially those sopranos

  • Amen for those Sopranos!

  • Please someone tell me that they recorded for an album cd at this advent or i would like to know how to purchase dvd let me know....

  • I agree with you 100%. I have been to some dry Holiness, COGIC, and Apostlic churches as well. Being Baptist myself,I don't attend a "dead/dry Church". Being filled with the Holy Ghost is more than Shouting, it also teaches you self control and obedience.....

  • Rev. Evans, Miss LouDella (his sister/Minister of Music), and the entire Fellowship congregation have a history--a long history, I might add--of presenting worship in a manner that is atypical of most Baptists. In fact, if you were to exam many of Pastor Evans' sermons and interviews, he usually speaks across denominational lines. Rev. Evans knows that "denomination" means "division" or "separation". The body of Chist--even with each part having a specific role--can have no division.

  • i have asked this before. how did rev. evans get to that level of praise. its not traditional of baptist churches and he's from a whole other generation. do you know his testimony?

  • One of his books, _From Plough Handle to Pulpit_, will probably provide more personal insight. However, I really believe this is one for the Lord, as only He preordains our existence. As a result, I believe He called His servant, Clay Evans, to be the spiritual leader he is. Pastor Evans taught us (and it is SO true): "It pays to serve the Lord."

Be blessed and BE a blessing to others (Luke 6:38).

  • I have noticed being missionary baptist, that depends on the whats being taught in the local church. This reminds me of my church in Clayton, NC. But when I took an intro to Religion class, this older Baptist minister(the Professor) told the class that, you go to church to learn and all that noise was distracting....

  • I agree that church is designed for teaching the understanding and the application of God's Word; however, the order of service for a particular sanctuary may meet one's preference(s) or not. Your professor may have preferred a more "sedate" environment.

If the messages of salvation, discipleship, worshipping God, and overcoming the enemy are being taught/received, it doesn't matter whether there is a lot of "noise" in the sanctuary or not. Satan, the distractor, is overcome by the Word!

  • I love the hymns of the church and it is a shame if your church dont do them. Hymns are the foundation of the church and how can a church stand without them. I dont want to find out.

  • I feel ya, Baptist churches can sing a hymn if they can't sing anything else...lol

  • Sister is gettin her shout in @ the 33 second mark......

  • i know she was tearin it up praise him gurl

  • Wow, is all I can say, what i would do for some soprano's like dat!!!!!!

  • Fellowship is KNOWN for their sopranos, especially their first sopranos. Listen to the "Lord's Prayer" as well (if you haven't already). Be blessed and be a blessing!!!

  • THe Famous Choir of all Time, THE SHIP. Praise The Lord

  • Well give Him a lil foot service....Hiyah!!!
