  • that link doesnt work... where can i listen and or buy your music?

  • cool! ^^

  • Do 7/8 next.

  • @PrimusSucks626 Woah.

  • untitled by eminem is in 3/4 as well btw, this is really sick though

  • @bnjmn07 Eminem's song is in 6/8, not 3/4. So is that 6/8 song by Nikki Minaj. A true 3/4 rap is very rare.

  • @openfist247 watev's man, it's preety much the same to rap to

  • @bnjmn07 Not really. 6/8 has more of a 4/4 feel to it to me. 3/4 is a little more binding and a bit trickier.

  • @creativebrother well to each his own i guess

  • @bnjmn07 There's a reason why 6/8 is different than 3/4... You can't just say "It's the same. To each his own"....

  • @paintballer9110 bro, i just did.

  • @bnjmn07 usually 6/8 has 2 heavy beats with 2 light beats . so you feel it as:

ONE two three FOUR five six

with 3/4 its just 3 heavy beats: ONE TWO THREE

  • untitled by eminem is in 3/4 as well btw

  • this track i truly dope! i know one other track in 3/4 time though. it's called "In The Mourning" by Invincible. this one is better though imo (though Invincible is ill!). this is truly an amazing track though, i must say. thanks for sharing. i will say, i agree with the comment that it should be cut shorter. it drags on a bit. other than that, this should be a hit!

  • Nice track. You really need to fade it out shortly after 3:00m though

  • I've always thought rap would work well in 3/4. This is really incredible.

  • I'm adding your track to my Zune collection. What can I put down as the track information?

  • @floppybelly Call it "Melanin" by Creative Brother.

  • @creativebrother Do you have an album?

  • @floppybelly No. If you want to buy something, you have to go buy files or CDs at lulu dot com slash creativebrother or to the links mentioned on the main page for this channel.

  • Just so you know creativebro, I'm using this tomorrow with a 6th grade music class to talk about 3/4 time! I would buy it, but that site is not working!!!!

  • Thanks!

  • really digging this song. i was just searching for songs in 3/4 time to get feel for how to approach writing a song in that time sig, found this instead! thanks for making my day a little better!

  • check out sweepstakes by gorillaz ft. mos def. starts and ends with 3/4 rapping.

  • @Zedzilla It's close. Still is 6/8 more than 3/4. There's a very fine line to walk to make something 3 instead of 6, and in fact, some musicians flat out don't see the difference between the 2. But, thanks for the track, though. In fact, I'm a add it to one of my playlists.

  • @creativebrother while i suppose i wouldn't be able to articulate the difference between rapping in 6/8 versus 3/4, the drum part that begins the song and plays throughout the entire track is definitely 3 beats long, not 6. either way, surprisingly the only hip-hop song i can think of that is in a non 4/4 time signature. glad you thought it was interesting!

  • @Zedzilla 6/8 is really a duple meter...you can tap your foot 1,2,1,2, and each beat gets an 1/8th note triplet...With this track, you can't tap it in two no matter how hard you try....that is the test, really.

  • @creativebrother I was really confused about the time signature of that song... it almost seems like there are two time signatures going on.

  • If anyone else knows of any other 3/4 timing rap songs, please send me a link to them.

  • I like this................Slammin track, good quality, good production, nice beats, nice voice, creative and what real hip hop is......................

    Peace Dukjah

  • awesome

  • This is real hip hop good job man

  • there is plenty of 3/4 6/8 hiphop kanye, jazy z, nas - heaven....ive made hiphop with 3/4 combined with 4/4 a few time

  • @afterdarkmacon

no there's not, hip hop is so stale cuz it is mostly in 4/4 unlike rock.

  • hiphop could be in 11/4 or a set of 6 then 7...if someone had the skill and talent to perform something to that...but hiphop is usually about setting a trance state with easy time to rhyme with...i have hiphop beats with varied time signatures and sometime there even isnt one..anything can be done, it depends on how much you like fucking with the music your making, or if you want people to easyily get along wit it

  • you don't really need to search far away to find 3/4 rap. check out Jay-Z - My first song from Black Album, yo

  • That's 6/8, not 3/4. Good, banging song, no doubt, but, it's not 3/4. It's pretty close.

  • why dont you show pictures of asians or brown ppl

  • check out ,,red to black'' by fort minor. it's also in 3/4

  • Naw, that's 6/8, not 3/4. It's a good song, don't get me wrong, but it's 6/8, not 3/4.

  • yop sorry its in 6/8, but good song anyway.

  • @creativebrother

    props, that's good analysis.

  • I think its a great track.. I immediately tried to create a 3/4 hip-hop track. I had this idea for a longer time now.. I searched for an existing one on google and found yours.

  • nice tune.

its strange, i was thinking today about how you dont get hip hop in anything other than 4/4.

all i could think of was 'if heaven was a mile away - nas' but thats in 6/4 right?

  • Yep. I've done 3/4 and freestyled in 5/4. Hmmn. I need to do a song in 5/4.

  • check out ,,red to black'' by fort minor. it's also in 3/4

  • I was about to complain in a forum about how nobody's ever thought to rap in 3/4, but then I double checked and found this. Nice work. It's more like 4/4 with the 4th beat cut off, considering the snare still hits on the 2nd beat instead of the 3rd like normal 3/4. Still, props for being a pioneer. I'd be really impressed if you could rap over a 100 bpm 3/4 beat though. Regardless, you've got a lot of talent and I like your message. Keep it up.
